Our approach to the instruction of Taijiquan (T’ai Chi Ch’uan) is to emphasize correct posture, stance, alignment and breath work, all of which are critical to obtaining the benefits of tai chi practice. Students learn to enhance awareness, balance, flexibility, body/mind relaxation and centring as well as integrated and fluid movement.
While the primary focus of instruction is health, well-being and personal development, the martial applications of the postures are explored as a means of achieving a deeper understanding of Tai Ji Quan.
