I haven’t had a bad experience yet here! The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The sushi tastes fresh and the price is pretty great. Even the special rolls are cheaper than the usual sushi spot, and the quality is better than expected. For a mall sushi spot, Togo is worth the visit!

FALSEADVERTISING — I ordered their House Roll which from the looks of the photo on their menu looked quite yummy with lots of fish on top and the price of $ 5.95 seemed right. What a disappointment when after they took my money, I was presented with this pathetic looking plate. How come so much fish in the photo and yet hardly any when it came to the real thing? I pointed it out to the girl who served it to me and as I was asking why there was so little salmon on top, she literally just walked away while I was in the middle of talking. I then called out to her and asked if she was ignoring me and clearly both her and the other girl at the counter actually were. I raised my voice louder so that suddenly everyone in the lineup was staring at me causing them to have to respond. In the end of all ends they said that is the way the roll always comes. I asked her to take a look at the sign. She just shrugged her shoulders, said«sorry» and once again walked away. I exclaimed that this was false advertising and decided that I am now walking away… for good. I will never patronize this pathetic excuse for a sushi restaurant ever again.

It was probably my first time at Guildford mall and the place is massive. Shopped way too much and forgot to refuel. Started getting shaky and the first thing in sight was Togo(couldn’t even make it to the food court). Professional staff, small but nice eating area. Service was a bit slow for 2 very basic rolls(yam and dynamite). Portions are a bit small for $ 7-ish. Overall, okay for food court sushi but will probably only go in a time of need.

Everything is worth trying, the service is fast and kind and patient if you’re not familiar with the cuisine as well as very kind to my hearing impaired sister. I could sit in this tiny restaurant for hours.

Was ok, not bad, not overly exciting either. My service was very fast, not sure what happened on the day others commented about a 10 minute wait for 1 roll unless that included waiting in a line-up. Maybe they read the comments and put more chefs on, there were 3 while I was there and it was during the 12:00 hour. My smoked salmon rolls fell apart which was frustrating, they were packed so full of cucumber. I think if they didn’t stuff it so full it would have been easier to roll tight and would have been more enjoyable. Otherwise it was a good lunch for under $ 15(3 rolls)

I’m usually not an advocate for food court sushi, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Other than the excellent but pricey Hanako Sushi on 101 Avenue, Togo Sushi is the only place in the Guildford area whose sushi is consistently edible. My standard avocado roll /3 nigiri /miso soup order sets me back about $ 9 – 10(including tax), and neither I or any of my coworkers(also frequent visitors) have had any complaints. The fish is fresh and the portions are adequate — no food poisoning yet! — and the menu, while predictable, has all of the staples for a quick lunch. Expect to see the regular rolls, nigiri options, and bento boxes. Oh, and they actually use the real hot sauce on their spicy tuna rolls as opposed to that spicy mayo crap used at other places. One major downside, as one previous review mentioned, is that the service is EXTREMELY slow particularly during the lunch rush. Expect to budget a good 10 – 15 minutes for your order, even if you’re getting take-out.
