I really can’t relate to a lot of the poor reviews on here! This is some of the nicest non high-end sushi I’ve had. They make all their dishes really pretty and the friend that brought me here said he’s been going here since he was a little kid! I ordered the Yoko Dream Salad and it was loaded with sashimi, tuna tataki, edamame, and tons of veggies. I don’t usually like to order salad at sushi because they’re often bland and simple but this one was super filling and healthy. I also ordered the chopped scallop cone with brown rice which was filled to the brim with really large and fresh scallops. Only downside was how expensive it was. I’ve never had a $ 5 cone before! With that said I’d probably still order it again just because of the quality of the fish. Some of the other items on our table was a tempura udon which came on a super cool platter with some sides as well as a beef teriyaki don. All the portions were plenty large and their special rolls are 10 – 12 pieces! Can’t wait to go back to Surrey to hit up this place again.

This sushi restaurant serves some decent food. Prices are reflective of Surrey pricing. Food was fresh. Service was attentive.

This is my new favourite joint nearby to home. The gogo crunchy roll is ordered every time! Amazingly good. Curly sue and drunken tiger are also delicious.

Good food, decent prices. Good service. We vary between here and Fleetwood Sushi across the street.

For a sushi place in the suburbs it’s one of the best I’ve been to. Yes, its not downtown décor but it’s clean and simple. I’ve been going here for almost 8 years and am always satisfied with the quality, portions and service. The oyako don, dynamite rolls and salmon sashimi are usually what we order and they are fresh and tasty and are available with brown rice”) Just went today with my family and they have new ownership and revamped menu with some nice, attractive plating! The curly sue roll and canuck roll were delicious. I’m a little surprised with the poor reviews but I have to say it’s a great little sushi place!

Pretty expensive, rolls were overfilled with too much artificial crab meat. Service was meh. Waitress forgot to clear soup and salad bowls and had no place to put main courses. Drinks were never refilled.

Well I went here hoping the reviews I read were somehow the exception, not the rule. Nope… Seems to be the rule. I WAY overpaid for sub-standard sushi. My fave place across the street is closed on Tuesday so rather than drive I thought I’d try here. The food alone would have been disappointing if it were the same price as my fave but for $ 5 more for 3 rolls. I’m even more disappointed. The chef and the server were very kind and polite so it pains me that the food didn’t live up to the service.

I can’t disagree with the other reviewers more, this restaurant is friggin’ fantastic! I’ve literally been eating here for at least 8 years and the food is always golden. Try the Chicken Teriyaki, they have a more western spin on it and the fat is all cut off. It’s amazing!

The sushi here is ok… nothing was really that bad. The chicken yakisoba was pretty decent. Its possible my expectation for sushi quality is high as this place is just really ordinary. The service was pretty slow even though it wasn’t that busy.

Its adequate for a sushi joint in the ‘burbs. The menu is what one would expect, all the usuals, nothing missing, but nothing gained. The cost is very reasonable for what you get. An average experience, sometimes the sushi is still too cold and mushy if you come too early. Portions are fair, but perhaps less rubbery gyoza would make the bento boxes more than average. Efficient staff when not busy with the stream of takeouts or large Friday local business lunch groups. The Law has eaten and would return if one requires sushi in the area with a «go with what you know» attitude…

You know those lunch places you go to that aren’t that great, but for some reason everyone else likes them, so you go along? Yoko Sushi was kind of like that for me. My first impression was of a dimly lighted shop with mustard-yellow walls and brown tables. It looked a little depressing but I shut up and ordered a spicy tuna roll and tempura bowl. The sushi was adequate. The tempura was pretty awful — yam and eggplant cut too big and undercooked in a dense batter. It was all just heavy. I looked at my co-workers box lunches(bentos) and they looked like huge portions, too. I was full after eating, but not in any satisfying way. The only saving grace was the nice server and ease of splitting the check. Still, I probably wouldn’t come back here on my own.
