Green Lane Animal Hospital

The staff here are very friendly and nice to my dog. I’ve had a different doctor almost every time I’ve visited in the past two years and each doctor has been very knowledgeable, offering free advice for training, etc.
The thing that hurts is the price. Like someone else said, the prices are really high, higher than other vets I’ve been to! They don’t just bill you for one thing, they add on other services and the bill when I went to the front was just crazy. Easily three times over the other two vets I’ve been to. Sadly, I think I will need to find another veterinary clinic. Their location isn’t very good for parking either.

My dog has multiple chronic issues that require frequent visit to the vet (routine checkup every 6 months at the minimum). I switched from another animal hospital located in Unionville which I have been a long-​time customer to Green Lane 3 years ago and I’m very happy to say that I’ve make the right choice. The primary reason why I decided to switch was that the previous animal hospital has grown over and they hired a lot of technicians to help out. I found that the vets were always busy and I ended up spending more time discussing my concerns with the technician than getting face time with the vet. In contrast, Dr. Tara Sermer and her staff members genuinely care for the well-​being of my dog above anything else, and the cost of the service is actualy cheaper than the previous animal hospital. I like the fact that Dr. Sermer spends time to listen and understand your concerns and will take as much time as required to make sure you understand the situation and procedures involve. She also always tries to find the most cost effective way to treat my dog. Green Lane Animal Hospital truly surpresses my expectations.

While the service and level of care is excellent. The price of the service is astronomical. Much like other veterinarian clinics, they seem to have forgotten that the field of veterinary is about caring for the animals, not squeezing as much as possible out of the owners.
When i saw my bill, i nearly had a heart attack. The price shock helped me to understand why some people abandon their pets when they get sick. Its a sad hard fact.
I love my little monsters, so i will never abandon them. But the price does hurt.
