L’Arabesque Ballet is proud to offer excellence in ballet training while respecting the age and the physical development of the student. Ballet being the basis of all dance forms, proper training that seeks to encourage dancers to work anatomically correct is essential.
Classes are taught by former principal dancer Laetitia Clement, (American Ballet Theatre certified, RAD certified, Advanced Cechetti, French School trained, George Brown College Dance Faculty Member) and follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi. All levels are offered, from Primary to Advanced.
Each year 23,000 candidates from all over the world take RAD dance exams. L’Arabesque Ballet offers to interested students who qualify, the option to present for an RAD exam.
In our brand new dance studios, classes are kept small to ensure that adequate attention can be given to each child. Creative expression is highly encouraged as ballet is an art form that requires both technique and artistry. But equal attention is also dedicated to allowing the student to move across the floor through sets of jumping combinations. This builds up stamina, strengthens the bones and keeps the passion for dancing alive.
In addition to developing strong technique and musicality, students will also gain self confidence and self esteem through performance opportunities throughout the year.

Originally from France, Mrs Laetitia Clément graduated with Honors from l’Ecole Supérieur de Danse du Québec, where she studied under the guidance of Mr. Daniel Seillier from the Paris Opera.
At the age of 18, she joined Les Grands Ballets Canadians. Soon thereafter, Mrs Clement was offered a company position with the Alberta Ballet. Mrs Clement moved up to soloist to eventually become a principal dancer in 2001.
Mrs Clement retired from the stage after 15 years, bringing 16 years of teaching experience as she’s always kept teaching while performing.
Mrs Clement is an American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Certified Teacher, holds her Intermediate and Advanced Cecchetti diplomas and is a certified RAD Teacher. She is also a Dance Faculty member at Georges Brown College.
As a very athletic dancer herself, Mrs Clement has developed an acute eye for stylistic and technical detail. Mrs Clement is known to bringing the best out of her students in a joyful, inspiring and positive manner.
