I went there for years and found that the clinic was helpful and caring. I had suffered acne for years and been to many GPs and a few Dermatologists but only received temporary relief. Most injections worked well, some temporarily were larger but always quickly shrunk and became less painful. If ever I had a sudden painful flareup they say me quickly, something not provided with GPs or Dermatologists generally. Overall excellent care. Andrew

OK, I never looked at the meds they use for the injections but they do work for me. It’s pretty sweet when a painful, inflamed pimple that you’ve been battling for a week with not much progress is gone 10 minutes after the injection. Yes, the clinic does promote recurring visits. But you can decline. My acne is pretty mild and I lead a pretty busy lifestyle so when I mentioned that I would prefer to not come back once every quarter they simply wrote me repeats for my prescriptions of Benzaclin and vitamin A acid, to last for a year. I don’t think the recurring visit is a scam though, I believe once the acne is under control the patient goes on a maintenance plan. My brother has more severe acne than me and was seeing his family doctor for it for a while, with not much improvement. When he finally took my advice to go to the clinic, it took a few months but he is more clear now than he has been in a long time.

Dr Gellar and his associates are scammers if you ask me. 30 or 35 $ a visit then they say you need to come in every week for months to do their acne treatments and rid you of your acne forever. That is an 8 month treatment. so 1120 $. Ive had injections here before to rid of cystic acne and it made it bigger or worse. At 35 $ a visit and it makes it worse is not worth it. Plus they say«oh sometimes that happens» so you go back to fix it and they charge you again. Meanwhile I see the doctors themselves breaking out. Kenalog — psshh! I looked at the bottle they use and saw phenol. A caustic that kills skin cells. I heard they used a high percent of «kenalog» and cause craters on a patients face. They make sure to charge you before you are even seen by anyone. I cant believe they are setting up more of these butcher shops around the GTA. Guess they are making a profit by scamming people.
