Proprietors Kelly Kyle and Sonja Scharf have been practicing artists and photographers for over 25 years. This background of producing and handling art allows Kelly and Sonja to understand the individual needs of the client as well as the importance of quality needed to create a finished project that contributes to the individual look of each image.

With over 300 framing samples to choose from Akasha Art Projects feels confident that they will meet the individual needs of every client.

Meet the Business Owner

Sonja and Kelly K.

Business Owner

Kelly Kyle is a Toronto based Conservation Picture Framer and Photographer. Kyle began the early stages of her career as a visual artist, receiving a diploma in Art and Design at Niagara College and later in 1994 a BFA at The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Kelly is passionate about all aspects of fine art, photography and design and merges that love with her framing practice.

Sonja Scharf is a Toronto based Photographer, Gallerist and Curator. Scharf began her formal education in commercial photography at The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. In 1990 after graduating, she opened her studio specializing in Fashion work. In 2000 she gave up her commercial practice, devoting herself to creating and exhibiting her fine art imagery.

Pooling their combined talents, in 2009 this dynamic team founded akasha art projects inc. Akasha’s unique brand is synonymous with providing a space in which all aspects of fine art is actively embraced and promoted.
