Established in 1972, Freeman Real Estate Ltd. is one of the last remaining family owned & operated brokerages in Toronto. Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Alex was born into real estate. His grandfather was a land speculator and operated a land bank. His father was a developer and general contractor who built everything from single family homes to high rise apartment complexes.

From an early age, Alex and his five brothers were employed/​educated on their father’s construction sites. Starting as gophers running errands for the sub-​trades to learning the trades. There are fond memories of meeting new families on ‘move-​in day’ and pitching in to unload their moving trucks in record time. Over time he wore various hats, accumulated more responsibilities and progressed into the office, managing projects and experiencing the full realm of real estate development.

Alex studied FINANCE at university and worked nearly 15 years as an Investment Advisor (Fellow of CSI, CIM, FMA) helping clients preserve and grow their wealth. While this provided valuable experience, the calling to real estate was inescapable.
