If you want to buy good Korean skincare products and also want fair prices, it’s a great place to go.
The shop provides four popular Korean skincare brands: Laneige, Iope, Sulwhasoo and Mamonde. The owner is really helpful and will give you good and useful suggestions. You can also get some samples as gifts.
I really like Korean skincare and beauty products, but it’s hard to find them in Canada. I have to say, it’s an unique place that I could find in Toronto, also in Canada. I got some products there and the prices are not much more expensive than the prices in Korea. I will absolutely come back and shop again.

As I am reach to 29, I can see my skin getting dryer so I was looking to buy different skin care products to hydrate my skin. I had heard about Korean skin care and wanted to give it a try. Randomly I found The Amore on Bloor store when I was browsing on the internet, so I decided to drop by after my work time.
The owner, Kim, let me tried different products but I wasn’t sure what to buy so she gave me some samples. I also booked my 2 hours facial treatment with Michelle. Michelle is a very nice lady and she helps me to learned more about how to take a good care of my skin. My skin was so hydrated and glowing after the facial treatment. I just love it! I decided to buy 10 time facial treatment package ($ 800, no tax, that means I only pay $ 80/​per 2 hours facial treatment instead of $ 100 +tax for one time only).
Tip: Feel free to ask questions about skin care problems as well as products, and don’t forget to ask for samples, they will give you a lot of samples for you to try before buying it.

Expensive!!! They sell extremely over-​priced imported products that you could get for much cheaper at other stores, or online stores (like roseroseshop). Even T&T’s or H-Mart’s larger locations sell cheaper Missha products! The markup is ridiculous, seriously.

This place is amazing!!! Hands down, the best facial I’ve had. I don’t know how they came up with the sequence for the facial, but at the end of it, my face, neck, and shoulders felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. I was so relaxed that I think I actually fell asleep at some point… The 2 hours flew by, and the facial package included cleansing, steaming, extraction, face massage, cold mask, plus a neck+shoulder massage. The products they used were high quality and I didn’t react to any of them with my sensitive skin; plus, they smelled really great which was even better for the senses. The ladies here are also so nice and make you feel so comfortable. I would highly recommend coming here for a great facial that’s well worth the money.

I wouldn’t recommend the $ 100 2-​hr facial for the following reasons:
1) Products are full of alcohol and perfume
2) They don’t tell you what type of facial they are doing or the steps. I had a really cold mask go on my face with some cold tool massaging over it.
3) I was asked my age!
4) The facial scrub is not with an exfoliant but some really weak electronic brush
5) Extractions — they use the easy method which is with the metal loop stick, no kleenex and fingers.)
6) Massage — they aren’t professionals and it’s really like somebody washing you with a towel
7) Uncomfortable bed — it was so hot due to the plastic cover
8) Scalp massage made my hair super oily when I left the place.
I went home and shampooed and took a shower to remove all that perfume smell with whatever products they applied on me.
I would much rather go back to Holt’s where their products don’t have an irritating smell.
I didn’t buy any products.

I got 12 pieces of facial masks with less than 17 dollars and owner she also gave me some samples as gift. Next time I’m gonna try the shampoo that they are selling, I remember there’s a package that 3 bottles of shampoos with 1 bottle of conditioners is around 44 dollars.

I’m not sure how anyone could say this place is a rip off? The ladies at Amore do soooo much during this facial that frankly, I started to feel guilty halfway through.
I mean, it’s $ 100 for 2 HOURS of steam, masks, random electronic devices and techniques that feel like delicate korean butterfly wings gently patting expensive asian beauty products on you! My face was massaged in ways that it’s never been massaged before! At the end, they pat a damp warm towel on your back and give you a little back rub — this is after the face massage and amazing upper body/​hand/​arm massage in addition to the actual facial.
I was really impressed. I feel like they paid so much more attention to my skin (at, like, half the price) than I’ve experienced at any other place that I’ve been to (random spas in Yorkville and Holt Renfrew among others).
The women working there were super nice, offering me some green tea and having me sit down to wait as I was a bit early. I don’t think they were judging/​making fun of me in Korean — but honestly, the facial was so awesome that if that’s the price of admission, I’m totally cool with it.
Even better in my books, I wasn’t pressured to buy ANYTHING after my appointment — which might have been to their detriment because I’m a sucker for up-​selling — but I appreciate their restraint. And I also wasn’t skin-​shamed at all which is so refreshing! And I have terrible skin! It’s so nice to not have to list out all the products that you use only to have them wrinkle their nose in disgust and then try to force you to buy an entire line of products from France or something that’s $ 400 (Holt Renfrew, I’m talking to you).
Overall, this was a simply great experience. There’s clearly a reason why Amore seems to be pretty solidly booked all the time. My skin looks bright, white and pretty clear and glowing. I will definitely be going back!

they work really hard at amore– there’s a lot of face masks, massaging and electronic devices going on. the only criticism i have is that the staff could be nicer and less judgemental. i dont need my skin care habits picked apart.
no one wants to hear about how they messed up their skin because they didnt start going for 100 dollar facials in their twenties– who has a 100 $ for facial in their 20s?
i also want to wear t shirts and sweat pants on my day off and not be judged about that either.
i want to go to a place where i feel welcomed, not condescended and criticized.

Goodness. ONE HOUR of a waste of my 50 $ for my PROM MAKE-​UP. Seriously. If you don’t know korean, they’ll be look you and make fun of you. I’m half chinese and korean and understood they’re language and I made the appointment in english. I go in, for my prom make-​up, and I got this ajumma and she did my make-​up, and made me GHOSTLY WHITE, and made my eyes look demented and small. Not only that, she kept on making fun of me in korean. Especially when I showed her a picture of a make-​up I wanted her to do on me. She was complaining how it’ll take 2 hrs and that she can’t do it. Not only that, she was trying to sell me things while applying make-​up on me. Like how my skin has so much of this you should buy this, and if I want to add fake eyelashes she’s selling em. But I had the eyelashes and she was saying how bad they were, and saying that I should buy hers. Like what? Not only that, I did my hair before hand as suggested before I did the makeup and she screwed up the front part of myhair with all the pins and crap. Definitely not a good experience. The lady that servered me when I made the appointment seemed much nicer. I would never go back ever again, even when I walk past it I don’t bare to look inside.

2 and ½ HOURS and something like five facial treatsments later including an upper body/​back/​hand moisturizing massage this is the ultimate in spa treatments. It’s ridiculously cheap!!! Getting a 2 ½ hour spa treat for $ 90 is unheard of and excuse my cynicism but let’s be honest a little suspect but this is the best facial I’ve ever received in Toronto and not because it’s ridiculously cheap but because it’s really thorough and I look and feel friggin’ awesome after it.
I’m pretty skeptical about facials after having a few $ 150+ treatments which really do nothing more than push a few posh products around your face where the end result is a glorified exfoliation that I could have done myself at home for a fraction of the cost. The young ladies at Amore have obvious shiatsu training and it’s not just about the treatments and products but also how they incorporate massage techniques in how they apply the treatments and products. They start off by cleansing and exfoliating determining which product to use based on your skin type. Then they proceed with a steam and extraction followed by a anti bacterial micro current electronic tool and an ultrasound gel treatment. (I have no idea if these things actually work but I’m not complaining ’cause I’ve had no adverse affect from them) and then they do a thick cooling masque which dries as they slather your hands in moisturizer and wrap them saran and marinate them in heated gloves. All the products are good quality Korean products that I have used for a while and from my experience they are very similar if not better than Shiseido products. I have terribly sensitive skin and I don’t get any sort of reaction which is saying a lot because I usually use organic and preservative free stuff like the Mychelle brand because I rash really easily. And then after all of that they throw in a back cleansing and massage as well as a hand moisturizing treatment. Like I said, RIDICULOUS!
Get the 10 facial package for something like $ 650. Seriously, it will be the best investment you’ve ever made on your skin.
