I’ve been to see Simon at Annie Hair Studio 3 times now and have always been happy.
First off, do not expect a luxury spa experience here. It’s a no frills kind of place. It’s $ 10 (short hair) and $ 12 (long hair) for a haircut for women (cut only, no washing or styling). Just because it’s cheap, doesn’t mean they do a bad job. Simon does a great job. He’s very meticulous and I’ve always been happy with my haircut. Truth be told, I get compliments on my hair all the time, and people are shocked when I tell them that I get my hair cut twice a year and I pay $ 12 each time (I wear my hair long and layered).
This place is in Chinatown. If you don’t mind that the radio is tuned to a Chinese station and the staff holler in Chinese, and just want a cheap yet awesome hair cut, go to Annie Hair Studio. And ask for Simon, he’s super nice and very good.
I wish there was a place like this in Ottawa. Good thing I go to Toronto all the time.
