Anu Beauty Spa

Went there for a suahellac mani and a reg pedi and I loved the service and the quality. Very nice ambiance, very cozy and clean. Affordable and they offer a big range of colors. I also did the eyebrow tinting and the girl did an amazing job. I loved the work and the time they put to do everything so perfect.
I would defintely return or pass by when i come back to Toronto.

I got a pedicure couple of days back, even after having sat there for almost an hour the nail enamel dint dry. Very poor quality nail enamels are being used.
Waxing and treading is done really well though.

Excellent place to get your eyebrows threaded or waxing done — they give you a loyalty card too! I have not gotten any salon services done. Great customer service and attention.

I tried calling this number and it was picked up by some lady who said it’s the wrong number and she sounded absolutely distressed, she was past her due date, about to go into labor any minute and has been receiving calls for añu beauty salon since morning. She said she doesn’t know how to get this mix up of numbers fixed and she needs to keep her phone free in case she needs to call emergency. Is Unilocal going to fix this mix up or does the business do that? Please help the lady. She really doesn’t need to be picking up wrong numbers right now.

Came here for the first time after work to get threading on eyebrows.
Girl who did that was super nice and came out exactly the way i wanted. Super friendly staff, and good price. I got both my eyebrow and upper lip done for $ 16.
Will def be back. They also have a loyalty card for those that live near by!

I have been going to Añu’s for quite some time now. I tried some other salons too but I had to go back to Añu’s.
I like the threading, how they do the eyebrows. Makes sure that you are satisfied. If not they will take time until you are. I would recommend this place for any downtown girl. Must go!

Did a walk-​in around 30 minutes before closing time for a brow threading and they were quick to accommodate me. Within ten minutes I was in and out. The aesthetician worked fast, while consulting me on shape, and my brows look excellent. Best part was with the 5% discount from mentioning Unilocal,I only paid $ 7.60! Bring cash and avoid the tax.

Great place! The owner and the workers are attentive and caring! This place actually interacts with its customers and got the best service which is rare for small business in the city.
I got a simple mani for $ 15 but the massage and hand treatment was exactly what i needed! Thank you!

3.5÷5 — I came with my girlfriend the other day to treat her to a birthday shellac manicure and pedicure. I myself got a regular mani pedi. I made an appointment the day before as they warned me they would be busy. I decided to give this place a try as I’ve been going to the same salon for over a year and wanted to try something new. When we arrived we were greeted by the workers. They seemed confused to see us. They told us to sit down and we waited about 10 minutes before Añu said we can start soaking our feet. My friend and I probably soaked our feet for a good 20 minutes before someone was able to see us. I understand, they were working on other clients. But we could have gone somewhere else if they were overbooked. Anyways, finally someone comes and the services itself weren’t bad. They were very good but I find that they are a little disorganized. My nail tech would disappear for 5 mins while I was mid way through my manicure.
Don’t get me wrong the services provided were fine, prices are standard but I thought they were a little disorganized during my visit. I’m not sure if I will come back as I did go out of my way to come to this location and I was not overly impressed. They are super busy though so I can tell they have a loyal clientele. It could have possibly been just that day my friend and I walked into a busy setting.

Great shellac mani/​pedi. The nail technicians were very nice as well as talented. The massage chair was great also. Highly recommend.

Love this place for eyebrow threading! I moved to Toronto in June and came here to get my eyebrows threaded because of the Unilocal reviews and I’m so glad I did! The staff is very warm and friendly. They always listen to exactly what you want and always do an excellent job with eyebrow threading! My eyebrows look great and the staff is skilled because it doesn’t hurt as much as other places I’ve tried. The prices are reasonable, the place is clean and cute, they offer great customer service, and they do a great job! If you’re looking for a place to be a regular, look no further.

I needed a good thread and they did a great job with my brows. I’ve had a few misses at the salons downtown but I’m glad to have found this place and will be returning. Very reasonably priced and the salon looks and smells pleasant and clean.

Best Pedicure I’ve ever had! VERY impressed. My feet look like a million bucks and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on my toe colour and nail art… I feel as though I went to a spa for 45 mins. My total was $ 35 for the whole shebang — polish removal, foot scrubbing, cuticle cutting, foot massage, painting, and nail art. I highly, highly recommend. Also, if your polish is messed up within a week, go back and they will fix it for free — great customer service!

Eyebrow threading: sweet staff. Clean. Great brows!!! Will be back! Also super affordable. She was quick. Painless and then also took her time to show me what she wanted to do before she did it. Majorly important. Also trimmed perfectly and tweeted a few strays.

Full body wax– the lady doing it at first was super nice. añu walks in like 20min later and keeps telling her to hurry up. She eventually told her to do something else and Añu quickly waxes whatever was left– kept missing huge chunks (back of arms/​knees etc) with clearly visible hair. Had to point them out at least 5−6times. Añu was starting to get super annoyed and just left the room/​told me to tweeze the rest myself. I was so pissed. It’s not even like it was a good price either– I’m not v hairy and she said $ 120 over the phone. I get there and she charges me $ 160.
To make it worse I have a ton of ingrowns to this day (went in sept)
Friend had a similar experience re: waxing (refusing to be more diligent)

I came into the salon in a rush and the girl (I didn’t catch her name) was super helpful and got me in and out with time for me to get to work on time. She did a great job too and was really friendly. I was so happy I came after I was done work for a pedi. I got a different girl who was just as helpful and friendly. The massage was great and my nails looked perfect. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I had a wedding to attend on Saturday and decided to go and get a shellac treatment for my nails. I have never have had my nails done professionally and was excited about the treatment.
I had read the reviews on Añu’s Beauty Spa on Unilocal and thought that it would be a close and quick place to go to, they also had availability on a Friday afternoon and other places close by did not.
I arrived and was greeted warmly. Before I began the shellac treatment, I asked what their recommendation would have been for my nails as they were short. They said that the shellac treatment would work and I was seated. The technician began to push back my cuticles and buff my nail, she did not open a package of tools in front of me so I inquired whether they were sanitized and she confirmed that they were. She did take out a new file and buffing sponge. Before she applied the nail polish, she began to trim the skin around the cuticles without having them dipped in any warm water to soften them. She cut my cuticles in three places and left me with inflamed cuticles for the weekend. I was worried for an infection however no symptoms have arisen yet.
Their salon was located on the second floor above a restaurant; the cleanliness is questionable as they did not wipe down the inside of their UV machine. Their tools are not opened in front of you and their customer service varies. They had another customer come in half way during my treatment and she was offered a warm beverage and had her cuticles soaking in a warm bowl of water. Their location is convenient and could see that the skill level varied among staff. If you are going to get your nails done from this location, be sure to instruct them on the proper processes of your nail treatment. I wished I had known this and googled what was to take place before I had my nails done.

Pros:
— Very inviting, open and welcoming ambiance. It can get busy at times but the overall environment is very relaxing and stress-​free.
— Friendly and accommodating staff.
— Affordable prices.
— Comfortable massage chairs.
— Very good Shellac — I got my toes done and they lasted for a good 2 weeks with no chipping whatsoever.
— Convenient location.
Cons:
— The pedicure tools made me feel a bit uncomfortable as I noticed that they were not packaged before being used. They were kept in a little drawer and I sincerely hope that they’ve sterilized their tools.
— I wish they took the extra mile and got rid of my callouses. The salons that I’ve gone to before coming to Añu always took care to do so. I probably should have asked them.
