Artistic Nails

I came in on a Sunday an hour before their closing time. I was greeted nicely and waited 10 mins before my turn. I asked for uv gel nails not knowing that UV gel and Shellac are two different service. the lady explained to me the diff and I decided what I wanted. So I went for the Shellac manicure because I wanted to keep my natural shape and length. Overall, it was a gentle experience for my first Shellac manicure.

Worst service I have ever had. Busy when I arrived at 6:15 (i didnt know they closed at 7) but they told me to wait anyways. Waited approx half an hour while they allowed others to come in after me. Girl who ended up doing my nails did an extremely rushed job. She painted on 1 coat of a neutral colour and when I pointed out that it was streaky and transparent, she told me thats how it was supposed to look. I dont think so. She also asked me to pay before she was completed. I would not have paid full price if I was allowed to wait until she was finished. She painted on another coat while visibly annoyed. I understand it was last in the evening, but I am not paying you $ 35 with tip to do a half-​ass job.
She then put me under the UV lamp and proceeded to collect her things and LEAVE, before my nails were even dry. Needless to say it has been less than 24 hours and they are uneven, chipped and totally unsatisfactory. If I had the time I would go back and asked for them to fix my nails. Totally unacceptable service and attitude.
Go to M nails on Danforth @ Broadview. Best in the city. This place is a disgrace.

Good thorough service. Had to pay $ 5 extra for a French manicure. Saw a lady with French tips on hands and feet so I don’t know if she had to pay $ 10, but I doubt it. Would come back again. Place is clean but I didn’t notice them cleaning or sterilizing their equipment apart from the feet soaking tub.

Went here for the first time last week, the tech who served me was awesome! I had been looking to replace my usual salon of 7 years after moving across the city. Artistic Nails is the spot, they did exactly what I asked for, were friendly and courteous. They do many other services and the shop is clean, well lit and easily accessible by TTC and has lot’s of parking.
