They did a good job with the cuticles but was hasty on cleaning the sole of the foot. What bothered me the most was the nail polish. It seemed diluted and thin. Now, on day 3, the nail polish has already chipped and is coming off. Paying $ 35 that doesn’t even last one week is pretty bad.

The manicure was alright but nothing special compared to other salons in Toronto. My nail polish didn’t dry properly, despite waiting 20 minutes in the salon before leaving. The nail polish was chipping within 2 days of the manicure. This place is good if you want a quick manicure but I wouldn’t expect the polish to hold up (unless you do shellac)

I went there to get a mani-​pedi before a wedding. The price for a basic mani-​pedi is 37 $ with taxes, which is a bargain I believe.
I booked an appointment, which I highly recommend, but they do accept walk-​ins. If you walk in, be ready to be rushed a bit but they will get the job done.
The beauty salon is located underground, so no windows and a pretty basic setting. They do have a TV and comfortable massage chairs.
My service was quite brief and efficient, which was ok because I was in a rush, but I would avoid this place if you were going for the aspect of relaxation or the foot care experience. They did not do a thorough job with my feet and I ended up having to re-​scrub and file at home. The nail polish application was ok, however I wish the manicurist had realized that the nail polish she used was expired or problematic. First she had to use three coats and had a rather hard time applying it, and secondly I noted that the nail polish chipped rather quickly. Not their fault, clearly the polish itself was the issue but might have been avoided if they took care of their stock a bit better.
The overall application was ok, the pedicure still looks good 1 week later.
Service: all good, they were polite and friendly.
Overall: I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a cheap and quick mani-​pedi fix that accepts walk ins. If you’re looking for a spa experience, go elsewhere.

The rave reviews for this place confuse me. Very average. Bit depressing. The staff were fairly nice, and it looked pretty clean but my gel manicure did not last and chipped on the second day. I have never had that happen before. Prices are good and convenient location but nothing to write home about. Ok if you happen to be in the area and need a mani stat. Haven’t had a pedi there, and from what I saw those did not seem to be their forte.

I came here only for a quick manicure… The staff is very friendly and attentive. I waited for only 15 minutes and the gentleman who did my manicure was great!

I have walked past this place many times but was intimidated by the fact that it is a basement. After reading the reviews, I finally ventured in.
It was late afternoon on a Saturday and there wasn’t any wait. I had previous bio-​seaweed gel manicure that needed to be removed and wanted a fresh bio manicure.
Fendy did an amazing job! She was meticulous in all the right ways — making sure that there were no gaps in the paint (which we all know is what leads to early chipping). I have had a few bio manicures over the last couple months and have had some great and some not so great experiences. I am also glad that there was no communication barrier; the colours were exactly what I asked for.
I loved my nails after Fendy was finished. It has only been a few hours, so I don’t know how long it will last yet, but everything about the manicure was done right. Also I saw that they sanitize the tools, which is a huge plus.
Total cost with tax & tip: $ 43

Friggin’ love this place. It’s really close to my workplace — between here and another nearby shop, you’re sure to find a great nail place in the area. The young guy that works here is so meticulous that you end up with a really quality job. I highly recommend!!!

I came here to get a manicure and a pedicure. I was immediately greeted and told to pick my colours. I was seated in a pedicure chair (there are four I believe, maybe five) and had my feet soaked. Then the regular stuff happened with filing, cuticle pushing, lotion, leg massage, etc. I opted to get the callous removal. At the same time, a lady prepped my hands with filing, cuticle pushing, cleaning, lotion, a nice hand massage, a warm wet towel placed over my hands, a soak, and some oil placed on my nails. I then had my toes painted. After he was done, I was taken over to the manicure chair (there are four) and had her do my nails. I got the shellac done.
This place is good for what it is. If you’re expecting a 5-​star hotel spa experience, this isn’t where to go. If you’re expecting friendly people, a good end product, cheap prices over décor, this is absolutely the place to go. The people were nice (I think it’s family owned) and my nails look as great as they have when I’ve gone to more expensive places. I’m giving it four stars, but really, if you don’t care about décor or the spa-​like experience, it deserves five. Oh, and they DO sanitize their utensils/​tools.
For the price, it is:
$ 13 manicure
$ 25 pedicure
$ 32 shellac manicure
If you get a mani and pedi, it’s $ 5 off. The lady told me that on mondays and tuesdays if you pay cash, you don’t pay any tax. They do waxing, massages, and treatments here as well. I expect to come back here.

I heart this place so much!
First and only time I have ever had my nails done by a dude and I highly recommend! Wilson is my favourite person here. He really takes his time with your nails, is detail oriented and thorough. Your mani or pedi may take a couple minutes longer, but it is well worth having clean beautiful feet/​hands!
The only annoying thing is that they charge an extra $ 5 for using a razor to shave off the dead skin and callouses. So what seems like a good deal — a $ 25 regular pedi turns into a $ 30 pedi. Still okay, but certainly not a crazy deal.
The space is confusing to find. You enter 638 Church and head down to the basement through a set of glass doors.
It’s an all Asian staff but everyone is proficient in English and of age.
Mags don’t tend to be on the recent side, but also aren’t years and years old.
They accept cash, debit and credit. And they don’t make you feel bad for tipping via card :)

I went with two of my friends. They got serviced right away whereas I had to wait. Two walk-​ins who came in after we did got serviced before I did which I thought was rude. They rushed through my mani-​pedi so my friends wouldn’t have to wait. Their selection of nail polish is pretty decent. They don’t have the latest colours but their overall selection is okay.
The next day our manicures were all chipped. I have never experienced that before if I have gotten my nails done. Even a home manicure would have last longer than theirs. I will definitely not be visiting this place again.

I have been to B & N Nails a few times now and you really can’t beat their prices. They do a thorough job and your nails will look just as good as they would have if you’d gone to a high end nail salon.
They offer shellac manicures and pedicures and have an array of colours to select from (far more than other salons I’ve had shellac done at which typically only have 10 – 15 CND polishes. B & N has approx. 30 shades of CND and OPI polishes). If you just want a normal manicure, they offer an extensive colour selection which, if you’re anything like me, will take you ages to choose from!
On my last visit to the salon, I was unfortunately unhappy with the results of my shellac manicure. When I got back to my office I realized just how much thicker the polish was at the tips of the nails and it was very streaky. I called them up and told them how unsatisfied I was with my manicure, and they asked me to come right back in and they would redo it. They were very apologetic and they did a far better job the second time around. It’s lasted me nearly 3 weeks!
If you’re getting shellac done, be aware it’s advised that you have it removed at a nail salon (B&N charges $ 10 for shellac removal). However, if you’re getting another shellac done ($ 32) there is no charge for the removal of your old shellac.

This place is not outstanding but its not horrible either. Its better than the rest but not the best. Other reviewers have gone over price points and store size, so I’ll stick to my experience.
This was the first salon I went to for my first time pedicure. I have really only been to one other place. The place felt very intimidating (the staff is there to work and do their job, nothing else) and I felt too uptight to relax because I was the only person in the salon and the woman who did my feet seemed unhappy (but then again it could just be my Asian guilt coming out or Dr Phil yelling at a kid for being a drug addict). Other than this fact, I loved the selection of nail polishes (especially Essie-​branded) and the massage chairs worked!
As for the pedicure itself; I felt like the extra 5 bucks for the razor was too pricey; it would have been justifiable if my calluses were gone or less thicker than it originally was (the woman hardly scraped my feet). Also, I didnt see the woman take any new nail tools out of a package and instead saw her use tools and files that were already there. I dont know about the other reviewers, but I base cleanliness on the use of sanitary tools, especially when I dont have a box of tools/​kit in my name. Despite this, my polish was applied perfectly and my nails were shaped and buffed amazingly.
Overall, my experience was okay. The staff were respectful and the job was (sort of) done. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a cheap nail salon that doesnt appear sketchy or dirty from the outside.

Best cheap nail salon in the neighborhood!
There are lots of cheap salons in the area but this one is by far the most enjoyable and the least scary in terms of cleanliness.
It’s a simple and small salon and not somewhere I’d go for pampering.
There are no teas or smoothies so I got myself a Starbucks from across the street and came back. You can help yourself to the small collection of fashion magazines in the corner.
There are about 3 pedicure chairs and 4 nail stations.
They have a good selection of OPI and Essie nail polish.
Like many other salons, they have a mani/​pedi special for $ 30.
I went for a pedicure only, which was $ 25 bucks.
If you get razor, it costs $ 5 more, but I’ve never gotten it.
I bought a kit for $ 5 dollars as well.
The girl who worked on my nails was good.
She asked me what length I wanted my nails
She asked me if I wanted them square cut.
There is a short leg massage included.
The massage chair actually worked!!! Hooray!

This place is great! They are my new fave nail place!
The staff is so sweet and kind. They make me giggle every time I’m in there cause they are so cute. They offer you water, there is a TV to watch and they take care of you really well.
They are super cheap — like mani pedi for $ 30 kind of cheap but it looks like a $ 100 job! For $ 3 I think you can get your own box with your name on it and your own files… it’s worth it if you become a regular. It is extra for the callous scraper, but I can understand that. Not only is it a fresh blade, it’s a lot more work and you need to know what you’re doing.
The colour selection is huge and they are always having a sale on something. When I went in before Christmas they gave me a little pouch and a discount coupon as a thank you — that’s great customer service.
Unlike other shops of this kind, they charge you HST regardless of if you’re paying with cash, credit or debit.
They are not only a nail salon, they also do waxing, ear candling and so on — but I’m not sure how those services are.

I’m a visitor to TO and was looking for a cheap fast place to do mani+pedi. This place is very conveniently located, and they were very quick. Only one girl there speaks English though; the other two had to ask her whenever I said anything — even simple things like «this color on bottom, the other on top». As far as the quality of the manicure — it’s ok, I’ve had better ones (and cheaper — $ 25 for both mani/​pedi) done at other similar salons.
But — it served the purpose today: fast, relatively well-​priced, conveniently located, clean and nicely decorated. A-​OK for sure!

This place makes me happy! It is right across the street from my office, and takes walk-​ins with no waiting at all. I’ve been on the hunt for a good waxer and the ladies here are quick and efficient, and the price is perfect. Best of all, Ive been three times now and not once has the waxing torn my skin (unlike at other, much more expensive places). What would make it perfect is if they offered sugaring too, but for now this really is as good as it gets in this city!

I really like this place … they really do take care of you and it is very affordable and you can watch tv while they do you lol
one thing that really impresses me is they keep your manicure stuff in a container with your name on it

Favorite Salon!
They speak English, Mandarin and Vietnamese (Says my Taiwanese girlfriend I brought along last time). But unlike Elaine (*Seinfeld joke*), I got no real goodies from the trip — other than a great mani and pedi.
Its cheap, really cheap. Clean, fast, hardly ever a wait and very close to work. Lots of men go here as well, because of the proximity to church, so its not «weird.» This makes me happy because i can convince male coworkers and my SO to come along with me.
Cute colours. Last time I got «Italian Love affair» on my fingers and some cute play on the words «Man» and «Magenta» on my toes.
They do waxing etc too, but I don’t venture into that territory.
