Bare Necessities Tutoring is a Toronto based company that provides mobile tutoring services in Toronto and the GTA. We specialize in Math, Spanish and English language lessons and place an emphasis on the importance of literacy and numeracy skills. We also offer lessons in Science and French.

We were created out of the visible need for convenient, affordable and quality tutoring services in the area. We do not do the students’ homework for them — we give them the skills they need to successfully complete and understand their assignments and class work. These skills will not only allow students to succeed in the present, but also in the future. We strive to make every lesson enjoyable and productive for all of our students, catering to their specific learning-​style.

History

Established in 2014.

Bare Necessities Tutoring was established in May 2014 as part of the Summer Company program. Since then, we have continued to grow in order to better serve the educational needs of students of all ages in Toronto and the GTA.

Tara D.

Business Owner

Tara is the owner of Bare Necessities Tutoring and currently also a PhD student at the University of Toronto pursuing studies in Spanish Literature. She is dedicated to providing quality education to her students and always strives to make each student’s learning experience interactive and personalized as much as possible — in large group classes and private lessons. As a business owner, she always tries to provide her clients with the best possible experience, often going the extra mile to ensure that each student finds the tutor that is right for them.
