City life can be pretty hectic. Sometimes, we get so busy working, our best friends don’t get as much time to play. That’s where we come in.

Based in Downtown Toronto, we do private group walks of up to 6 dogs at a time. We’ll pick them up, spend the day in Toronto’s many off-​leash and unfenced areas so they can have a good run, and drop them off for you. Which means that when you get home, you’ll know your best friend has already gotten some of the exercise they need for the day.

Established in 2008.

Barks & Rec. was founded by Pamela Fox and Jem Izzard, dog walking professionals with a combined total of 14 years experience handling and caring for pets.

Fully insured and bonded, and licensed by City of Toronto. We promise only the best care for your pups.

Business Owner

We have a huge passion and respect for our furry companions. Since we adopted our dogs in 2008, we knew right away we wanted to work with animals. Dog walking seemed to be a natural choice.

Both Pam and Jem had separate dog walking businesses for several years before deciding to join forces to create Barks and Rec.

Along with our sub-​contractor Kara, we walk all shapes sizes and breeds :)

We are Pet First Aid Certified and continue to expand our knowledge of health and behaviours to ensure proper pairings for our groups.
