This place is located on the Concourse level, a floor up overlooking the waterfall, across from the elevators. North side of the building. We didn’t get anything as this is a research expedition. I told this to the associate off the bat. I would say the experience is mixed. We had one lady helping us. Something about her facial expression seems fixed like a deer in the headlights or something. It could be because we walked in near closing time on a Friday. That was by accident on our part. I didn’t know they close so early. Another associate had nicely offer us water. She showed us a couple of pieces explaining they are all certified Canadian diamonds. Not sure why that is such a big part of the presentation but my preference is to buy Canadian. The brand she showed us was Birks Amorique. It has an Amorique cut which is unique to Birks. Some of the rings had a little sapphire facing the wearer. Based on the other reviewers of Birks I had steeled myself a bit. Raymond W. has a review indicating Birks certifies their own jewels. I was advised by friends to look for GSI certification. The rings here are beautiful. Maybe Amorique is a superior cut or maybe it’s the lighting? If these were GSI certified and I had the money, I would definitely put this on my top 3 list. I still have a lot more research to do and places to try. We do not like People’s Jeweller’s at Eaton. Holt Renfrew doesn’t really have anything although they are very nice too. Hopefully we have better luck at Tiffany’s and Made You Look. I got veto out of Pandora ;( I wonder why there are so few jewellery reviews on Unilocal? Thank you
