Blyss Hair Salon was very disappointing for me, I felt that they over charged me for what they did. I had my hair highlighted and for whatever reason it came out to be $ 50.00 more than the time before and this day the Color Tech did less than the time before. Also I was going to blow dry my hair myself and one of the stylist came over and said Oh Don’t Worry I can do it, she made it sound like she would do it as a favor. I told her NO I can do it, she said I will do it for you. So I thought ok she is doing it as a favor, then when I go to pay she charged me $ 50.00 JUST to blow dry my hair, which really made me mad, How Ridiculous! was that. For for highlights and blow dry it was over $ 300.00. Believe me I will never return. This was a TOTAL RIPOFF I really don’t know who they think they are to charge such a ridiculous price. I have had my hair done in Yorkville for over 20 years and wanted to try someone new, Never Ever was I charged this amount. EVER! and the color came out yellow. Which looks terrible!

Although Blyss is located in Yorkville and although this attracts a particular kind of clientele (to put it politely), the staff are very down to earth. You will not get avant-​garde mullets or the newest take on the fin here. They specialize in more conventional but flattering and natural cuts and colour.
After having terrible «architectural» haircuts and mishaps at Coupe Bizarre and Vidal Sassoon, I was looking for a more reliable and less erratic group of people to give my money to. Sandra is an amazing colourist and Carla gives great haircuts. It’s that simple!
