I just found out that Boathouse (formally «Arlies») is a Canadian business that started off in St. Catharines, Ontario. Woot woot, represent! While I can’t say this place put St. Catharines on the map, they are one of Canada’s largest retailers for skateboarding/snowboarding accessories and clothing. Brands like DC, Roxy, Circa, Element, Billabong, etc. Their house brand called «Melissa» or something is actually pretty A-OK, too. I have a pea coat from them that I love. I also scored a sweet pair of boots a couple years ago that are still kickin’. Prices seem to be on-par with other retailers, and they are one of the few authorized Tom’s dealers around.
