This is one of my favourite cafes to work out of. Great vibes, great food, great coffee– just everything is the greatest! There aren’t a ton of seats but if you go early enough you can snag one. Also in the summer they have a front and back patio that’s open which is one of the best parts of this place. Mostly the really cute back patio. It actually feels like you’re just hanging out in someone’s backyard. Also you can grab a beer here before you wander into the plethora of bars that Kensington has to offer!

It would be a good place to get things done. People are in their business and work with their laptop. However, the staff and customers suddenly engaged in arguments loudly. One particular customer’s behaviour was not appropriate, but the staff did not need to yell at the customer for other customers to hear. The staff said the customer was offending other customers and so was the staff. The Asian lady behind the counter seemed to prefer white male customers to other people. She was very friendly to white male customers but not other people.

First time here. This is a cozy hipster coffee shop. They sure serve quality coffee here that tastes great. You can enjoy a black cup of coffee here without having to add sugar or cream. Wonderful baristas and friendly service. Place is great for meeting people. its also good for getting some work done, They got free WiFi and spacey tables, but not all plugs work here so I suggest that you charge up your laptop beforehands. I recommend that you bring a Macbook if you want to blend in. Really nice patio but it was raining when I was there so everything was wet. Surely check out the patio if the weather permits. Overall great coffee and great service.

Chai latte was awesome! The latte art was on fleek! I like how the café serves alcohol as well. Bonus points for free wifi and outlets! Wish they had pastries though but their drinks definitely make up for the lack of baked goods. I would say the best time to come to the café would be during the spring or summer, where you can go out and hang in the patios. I wouldn’t really recommend coming here during colder months since it does tend to get pretty crowded.

What a great summer spot they have here in kensington! Definitely a new fave in this neck of the woods. First and foremost I love how they have a front and back patio. Such a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a cappa or night cap. This space is so open and friendly of an atmosphere-on a side note it’s great for people watching. It’s a great mix of a crowd. They have great deals for all kinds of drinks. Food is on the priciER side but 4 dollar whisky deals and fair priced pints so who can complain?

Ever wondered where the best seating in Pamenar is?(I hope this review doesn’t change our experience of Pamenar from here on) There’s this single 2-seater at the edge of the café/bar between the insides and the patio where the PERFECTRATIO of cool air and summer breeze meet. That, my friend, is the sweet spot in Pamenar. Bring a notebook and pen, couple that with a glass of dry cider(preferably) and gaze at the cherry tree(it’s bearing sour cherries ATM) just across at the patio — and you will know what we mean. All in all, the vibe here is fun, energetic and people are cool. We like it here — very much.

Good cappuccino, I did have to remind them to make it for me after a 10 minute wait, but they got there eventually. Wasn’t too upset because of their speedy free wi-fi, Felt like I wasn’t quite«punk rock» enough for this place, but nevertheless, coffee is good.

**given 2.5 stars** I really wanted to like this place since I’ve heard such great things from my friends. Our party of 3 ordered a sandwich, a white cracked pepper shortbread cookie and 2 babbling brook root beers. Unfortunately there was meat in the sandwich which the server corrected(who was very sweet about it), but if it was supposed to be vegetarian… that’s a pretty big«whoops». The white cracked pepper shortbread cookie did not taste a hint like pepper nor did it feel like shortbread. It was very hard(I was scared to chip my teeth!) which I don’t associate with shortbread. Wasn’t my cup of tea and I did not like it, not the crumbly shortbread that I was expecting at all. Overall, I’d like to give this place the benefit of the doubt and try it again all because the root beer was the best tasting soda I’ve had in a while.

Lack of knowledge? I just want to let them know especially to a barista(an asian girl) that decaffeinated coffee certainly does contain caffeine — just in lower amounts, but it does. I told her about it, but she rudely said that she knew decaf has no caffeine, and she didn’t suggest other than coffee drink. Some people such as pregnant people avoid caffeine seriously.

Great atmosphere, friendly people and good coffee. There was a line up but it was handled quickly and cheerfully. We’d come back for sure!

My go to coffee place when I’m around college-spadina. I love their coffee, but I love their food more. They have these earl grey cookies, which is not too sweet and makes a perfect weekend treat. Their paninis are also good. While it’s not at the level of Nadege sandwich, it is still one of the best in Toronto. It tastes like one of those artisan-made sandwich that you’d expect from an artisan bakery. This place seems to be quite active and have a lot of events. It also seems to be where writers gather. Can’t blame them when the atmosphere is that good. It’s a cozy and homey hole in the wall kind of place.

Coffee! Wifi! Ambience! Clean restrooms! I love the music best. Billy Holiday and Nina Simone as I type this review. For a few days of work in Toronto Pamenar is serving perfectly as my office.

Café Pamenar, if I lived in Toronto, I’d move in to you. Atmosphere: A+ Your espresso drinks: Killer And free wi-fi? Check. Back patio called; alas, it was sub-zero. Summer visit: booked.

If you’re used to Starbucks’ in the suburbs, you’ll feel slightly out-of-place here! Café Pamenar is a café/bar for the biking/tattoos/piercings/dreadlocks set. You can have a caffeinated drinks… and perhaps a Dieu Du Ciel as the night wears on. :) Place itself is long and narrow like a rocker. Latté was good. I have a feeling that place is better in the Summertime!

Every single time I come here for a latte, it’s well done — just the right amount of foam, milky, topped off with pretty art. It’s a cozy place with a nice patio out back — does get crowded sometimes, but espresso is worth it.

Café Pamenar is a cozy coffeehouse with a front and back patio. They offer an array of hot/cold coffee options and paninis. The indoor sitting is limited, so I prefer to visit them during the summer months. Oddly enough, they don’t sell bottled water. The only reason I remember this is because I came here with my brother once and he wanted bottled water, and they did not have any for sale. Though, they do have water by the cash register in a jug that you can pour for yourself for free.

Love this café! A very cute courtyard in the back to get away from it all, wonderful staff who go the extra mile, and good coffee. Only reason it’s not a 5 is I prefer darker coffee.

I’ve tried this place once and my experience was only so so. I met my friend there to work as it was halfway between both our apartments. The Pros — They are good at making coffee and the barista spends a long time on it. My almond milk latte was only okay and no latte art to speak of but my friend’s dairy chai latte looked great. And I know it is easier to do artwork with the dairy milk. — They have a nice outdoor patio — They have power outlets and many adaptors so everyone using the laptops can plug them in The Cons — The barista(with the dreads) screaming to high heaven every time a coffee order came up. She was so loud and unnerving I(and everyone around me) jumped every time she yelled ‘AMERICANNOOOOAMERICANNOOOOOAMERICANOOOOO!!!’ She literally did this for every order and the place was packed. It was very unpleasant, unnecessary and really killed the ambience inside. She didn’t look particularly grumpy as I saw her laughing and mucking around during the quiet times. So calm down girl. Most people who order coffee hang around in the vicinity so there is no need to SCREAM. — The décor was kind of shabby chic. It was not a bother but the chairs don’t hold up for long sessions. — It could have been cleaner. They didn’t often(or ever) come and wipe down the tables. Didn’t look like they cleaned the washrooms much either. — They had the World Cup screening on their temporary tv so it drew in a crazy crowd. But that’s ok… it brought in a lot of people. It just wasn’t good for my work mode at 4pm on a weekday. In conclusion this place is obviously very popular. I don’t know that the coffee is better than Jimmy’s Coffee, I’d probably go there instead next time I am in the area. I do think I’d have had a more calming experience had I sat on the patio(alas no outlets there) or if the barista lowered her voice a few thousand decibels.

Sweet spot in Kensington Market. Perfect for a nice cold drink or pint on a hot summer day. The patio is kinda hidden and you wouldn’t even know about it unless you walked inside. I would recommend this place for a quiet coffee get-together. Seems like a local hang out place for hipsters.

As you may already notice, I am always in search for a coffee place to chill on the weekend. We decided to try out Café Pamenar(@cafepamenar) after our desert stop here in Kensington Market. Love the long narrow space with the super long counter and they have both front + back patio. Free wifi and electric outlet are available, which is great if you want to hangout for a bit. Love the back patio Cappuccino $ 3.10 ~ It was a darker traditional roast which I like. Love all the details from the wood back board to the scale table for cream & sugar. Just love the lighting along the bar Verdict : ~ Will be back, maybe with my laptop this time to work on a post or two(?_?) ~ Love their cappuccino ~ Will definitely come back to try their drip and their Sakanjebin which is a traditional Persian drink with mint, cucumbers and lemon(guess it‘ll be almost like a mojito without the alcohol)
