Decided to give them a try through a referral. Was not disappointed. I’ve had the complete opposite experience as Erwan P. The technician diagnosed my furnace to have a faulty ignitor, showed me prices available online, and charged me the cheapest he could find. He even showed me exactly how to test the ignitor to determine if it was faulty and included tips on maintaining my furnace myself. Labour cost was just 160 $ and I didn’t have to pay for a service call.

The technician wasn’t honest.
My furnace wasn’t working so I asked for a technician to take a look. After opening the furnace, he told me a part needed replacement and it would cost $ 300. I agreed and he started working on it. I became suspicious when he told me I couldn’t keep the broken part. I couldn’t understand the reason (he talked about inventory) so he called his boss but he couldn’t give me any rational explanation either. I then asked him to show me where the new part was in the furnace. He pointed to a part that looked fairly different to what the used part looked like. He said initially that it was because the design had changed. After arguing for some time, he admitted that he didn’t change anything. The old part he showed me looked old while the furnace is relatively new. He only cleaned an existing part. I then had to argue about what I would pay. So overall he fixed the furnace (took 10′) but lied about the work he had done. Also he told me his hourly rate is $ 160.
