matters most and she’ll say the wine. Pair their stubborn but
like-minded attitudes with their respective passions and you
have the ingredients for a perfect partnership: Chef & Somm.
Chef & Somm. was founded on Eyal and Rebecca’s mutual
concern around the general lack of collaboration between chefs
and sommeliers. Filling what they believe is an obvious void in the
food service industry, they now work together, frequently switching
hats with one another to craft truly synergistic food and wine pairings, and delivering these to happy customers in homes across Toronto.

Inspired by the founding fathers of French cuisine and trained by Master Chef Didier Leroy, Eyal is a culinary artist who combines innovation with tradition, and marries pastry with savoury to create dishes that reflect his unique journey through the kitchen ranks. You may have sampled an Eyal creation at Harbour Sixty Steak House or 417 Restaurant + Lounge. Or perhaps you were lucky enough to partake in one of the many Chocolate Dinners he hosted across the city.
