Church of Scientology

David Miscavige physically beats people in the CO$. He screams at them and he puts them in «the hole», a prison camp for members who step out of line. The people under him makes 40 cents per hour. Those who leave and publicly criticize the church? Miscavige has them followed. He spends parishioner funds not only on spies, he wears hand-​made shoes, designer suits, lives in luxury housing, and drives multiple luxury cars. He answers to no one. Nice work if you can get it.
Miscavige is a thug, a bully, a predator, a tyrant, an autocratic clown with no redeeming qualities as a human being. The power of this church is not only centralized at the corporate level, which would be bad enough, it is all in the hands of one person, this one vile person.
Where, oh where, oh where in the States is the FBI?

Anyone who believes this sham of a religion, watch «Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief» on HBO. That’s all I have to say.

Thought this was a comic book store, when I asked to see them they wanted me to hold a bunch of cans with wires hooked on them. I think its a radio shack /​soup kitchen for crackheads or something. The girl at front desk was smoke show! really hot, I think shes into cosplay…
Anyways long story short they have comics but only from the one artist and they are not very good, you’d have to be insane to read them. 2 points for the hot girl, Silver snail on young st. ALL DAY!

I went here to see if I could be helped with a failing relationship I had some five years ago. The volunteer who helped me got me on a course which addressed exactly this. I have been on services since and now volunteer myself. Great bunch of people. I don’t understand the other reviews however people tend to attack what they don’t understand and none of the persons who reviewed took a course or read anything from L. Ron Hubbard himself so I guess they don’t really know what they’re talking about. One of the coolest services I took was the Purification Rundown. It’s a service wherein you do a routine of exercise, vitamins, and sauna to rid your body of drugs and toxins. Afterwards I felt really clean and was able to lose weight more easily for some reason. Anyway– that’s my two sense.

What’s not to like? It was around the time when I realized that every facet in my life was being lived wrongly that I decided to stop in for a stress test. Obviously strong forces were holding me back from my true potential; myself, my landlord, suppressive persons, the pharmaceutical industry, etc., and deep inside me was a vibrant spirit that needed to be freed from my corporeal self. I bought a copy of Dianetics (actually, I got two just to be safe) and put it under my pillow. A week later, I was a changed man and having seriously awesome dreams about jet-​skiing with Tom Cruise. (Highlight: we launch off a jump simultaneously and high-​five in midair. Strange part: even though I am laughing, Tom Cruise barely cracks a smile. Leah Remini is there too and she’s making brownies.)
So my buddy Richard M and I walked into this place to find out what the big deal was. We were immediately separated (this creeped me out a bit), and we both had stress tests administered. You are interviewed while grasping two aluminum cans connected to a voltmeter. When the needle vibrates, they probe you with intrusive questions. I can’t imagine what kind of a soft-​skulled idiot could actually fall for this shit.
Anyway, two copies of Dianetics later, I’m a changed man. Scientology even cured my carpal tunnel. Now, for a Church that extorts millionaires, they could do with a renovation. The carpet was shoddy, their e-​meter looked like it had seen better days, and the glass at the front entrance was anything but CLEAR. Get it? Ahh… it’s a Scientology joke, you wouldn’t understand.

I went here with an open mind and with my skeptical boyfriend in tow (he was brought along for security purposes). We both had very different experiences. After completing the free personality test, we were both given the results in separate booths by different volunteers.
Although we have a happy relationship, are close with our families and above average students; the test results were clear — we were failing in almost every aspect of our lives. Upon receiving the results, my boyfriend told the volunteer that, clearly, this was some sort of a scam. Although he didn’t raise his voice or use rude language, he was asked to leave the premises.
I, on the other hand, maintained the persona of a potential convert and was offered a free auditing session. I also gave them my phone number (which they have not used once hitherto — contrary to popular belief). Upon exiting the building, we compared the graphs that mapped our emotional results and found them to be exact replicas — despite us being opposite personality types.
I returned a week later for my free auditing session and, frankly, found it quiet annoying. The auditor had me repeat the same boring story about eight times. Utterly pointless.
Scientologists aren’t THAT scary (unless you join their cult ofcourse). Just don’t diss their «religion» or you’ll get thrown out — cause that’s such a terrible fate.

I went here FOR SCIENCE. Well, it was a research trip for my world religions project on cults. Lemme tell you straight up, this is a CULT. I was welcomed by an overly enthusiastic volunteer named Mario who printed off the results of an online test and told me I was failing in most areas of my life. While he was explaining the main points of their doctrine I came to the realization that Scientology only makes sense if you’re a Scientologist and only the best ones aren’t faking it. He then told me I could fix my life if I bought in to a $ 120 weekend course on Dianetics. No thanks, I have better things to spend my money on and uh, thanks for the research. This is going to look great in my presentation. Also, can we have Tom Cruise back?
