Cold Stone Creamery

This is a Tim Hortons/​Cold Stone shared space that’s just opened up on King. I can’t tell you how many other businesses have opened here and failed but I’m interested to see how long it takes for this new venture to go under. Having said that, it is attached to a Tim Hortons so that alone might keep it alive forever.
I don’t like Cold Stone, or Tim Hortons for that matter so seeing both of these businesses here makes my skin crawl. Cold Stone’s ice cream is rather gross and the way they prepare it on a cold slab does nothing for me. Add to that the complete and utter confusion the staff had when I said I didn’t want the extra things they mix in (added into the price so if you feel like being a pig go for it, you’re paying the same amount anyway) and I was glad to leave with the knowledge I will never go back.
The space itself is actually nice. It is shiny and brand new and well lit. There is a lot of floor space with chairs to sit and have your disgusting treat or equally bad coffee. Really they should just have a sign on the door that says, «Free diabetes with every coffee/​donut/​ice cream combo.»
I’m thinking I need to start a list of «rant» reviews.
