Condo Size

Bought a pull out double sofa bed from Condosize. We needed something really compact but didn’t want to sacrifice comfort so we went with the Euro sofa. It has this interesting mechanism that allows the sofa to fall out into a three part mattress (3 sections crossways). It’s a space saving design because the top of the mattress touches the wall when fully extended, like a futon, but lengthwise rather than crosswise. A decently comfortable small love seat, and a foam bed that’s much more comfortable than those awful spring loaded sofa beds. The staff was very knowledgeable about the construction details, there was a good selection of durable fabrics, delivery was on time, and the sofa was carefully set up at our place on delivery day. I also like that the sofas are made locally. Shopping here was a good experience all around.

I purchased custom made a coffee table and a dinner table. I live in a small condo and standard size dinner tables are huge for my place. Condo Size offered me a good solution. Quality of the products deserve the price. I am a satisfied customer.

I am a business owner, having gone in there with my work clothes in (construction clothes), I walked out of Condo Size fuming mad. They were sold a light to my client at a ridiculous markup and lying to her about where and what it is. Having gone in there to pay for a broken part to be ordered, I was forced to be felt that I could not afford their products. The products that are bought there are represented as much better quality or better brand as they really are. The owner Joanna will not answer any questions that may help you decide if you are buying of quality brands or not. Beware if shop there, you might be buying cheap reproductions for the pricing of genuine products.

I recently bought a sofa bed from them, but after I review the store on Unilocal I was worried. However they did a brilliant job! My building elevator schedule was full at delivery date, they help me to figured out, and delivery on time. Frank did an amazing job when he moving in my sofa bed into my condo, no scratch on wall and floors. Great attitude.
After such a great service I try to give him tips but he said he never take tips from customer, this is impress me a lot.
At last, total suggest this store, nice sofa, good quality, short waiting time, great price compare to other boutique furniture store all because it is Canadian.

We were looking for a custom bed came across condo size, Yvonne was amazing ! She knew exactly what i wanted and made it happen. The day of the delivery i was in love with the bed, but after couple of hours i noticed there were some glitches. I was very unhappy and worried, i contacted condo size discussed the issue with Frank who came by to see the glitches in person. They took the bed back fixed it within couple of days !!! We couldn’t be happier with the product and service we received. We are looking forward to coming back to get more pieces from them. Thank you guys so much ! Job well done !

I recently purchased a sofa and a pair of bar stools at this store; I have been looking for these items in a while, but I could not find what I wanted. Just by chance I walked in and fell in love with the ones I ended up buying. What impressed me the most is the customer service I received. I would recommend this store for this reason alone.

Last fall, my partner and I purchased a dining table from Condo Size. It didn’t quite fit our space, and the owners were very understanding and took it back even though we were returning it past the grace period. Since then, we’ve scored a few nice pieces from this place, our fave being the grey wool love seat we purchased some time ago. Overall, we’ve had a great experience with this place.

This store tries to pass off mass-​produced furniture as boutique-​like, and at inflated prices. Then they will «make you a deal» which is apparently so good you are getting «the loaf for the price of a slice». I am so glad we googled the chairs we were interested in, because they came up at a variety of other stores for significantly less than the «great deal» price, including Sears! and in a wider range of materials and colours. On top of that:
a) they rarely have items in-​store for you to see, they seem to run a catalogue-​type business out of a store-​front.
b) selection is limited
c) they have overall poor business admin. skills! (e.g., if you call looking for an item, they say they will call you back and don’t!)

I really love my new pull out couch and storage ottoman. I’ve gotten compliments on it from my guests saying how comfortable it was.

Avoid shopping here at all costs!
The store may seem appealing at first glance because as a new customer, Frank and Yvonne give excellent service and the store does have some nice pieces. But once you have purchased something and there is an issue with it (ie. damage), dealing with them is a nightmare… they are dishonest, divert blame, and are overall sleazy.
If you do like any of their pieces I guarantee they are available at other furniture stores in Toronto. Just find out the name and manufacturer of the piece and search it online.

We discovered this store just walking around Queen West. The furniture is nice and great for smaller spaces. Small space with very few employees. We were serviced quickly and efficiently. We purchased a couch bed. Spoke with Frank the owner who can really talk a lot and has game until the going gets tough. He won’t admit he’s the owner. It seems Yvonne knows a lot more than him. He depends on her and passes the buck. He’ll sell you the item and then he’s completely hands off when there’s a problem. He passes the blame for the issues and never acknowledges that they are in the wrong. The initial purchase was smooth until it was time to deliver. They talk so much instead of just getting you the item that was ordered. They are EXTREMELY bad at following up. Don’t answer their phone. Give excuses such as «we had no information therefore there was no point in calling.» When given suggestions on how to improve they make excuses saying «we have too many customers to be able to do that.» After a lot of back and forth by email as phone calls were not being answered, we went into the store. My significant other tore a piece into them. We finally received our couch. There was another couch he liked so we decided to purchase that. Hoped the experience would be better this time now that we settled the first purchase. They gave us a good deal and couch is nice. Again no luck. Email after email we finally called. They advised him that their email has been down and to confirm delivery for second couch by calling and at least 3 days in advance. Again, a business that depends on email and hardly ever answers their phone, this is unacceptable. We’ve been trying to call and to no avail. Can’t firm up a delivery date because they are not answering their phone. This is getting very frustrating!

Purchased a glass desk here, paid the deposit. By the way, you can bargain for a deal, especially if you offer to pay in cash. Frank, the owner deploys manipulative sales tactic, left a bad taste in my mouth.
Paid the deposit, Frank says the desk will be there in a couple days, mentioned we would be there the following Saturday (about 7 days), and he assured me it’d definitely arrive by then.
Organized to have the van that morning to pick up the desk, but the furniture was not there, staff said we could take the floor model (which was all scratched up). Said our furniture would arrive by 3:00pm.
On route to return the van, we got calls, back to back to back, never heard from him again.

This store focuses on furniture designed for smaller spaces. They design much of the furniture in-​house themselves. The difference here from other stores that focus on smaller living spaces, is that it’s about being stylish in a small area instead of trying to maximize the use of each square inch of your apartment.
I tried taking a picture of a piece of furniture I liked and was politely asked not to. The owner explained that they’ve had issues with people creating cheap knock-​offs of their products.
It’s a pretty small store and the selection is very streamlined, but they only carry high quality products with a prices that matches that quality.
