You know what, this place isn’t bad. I’ve never gone here for shoe repair but the key cutting services are pretty decent. Prices are fair and he has a fairly broad variety of keys that he can cut. More than Canadian Tire for non-car keys, but certainly not as much of a variety as a locksmith’s shop would be able to cut.

I’m new at doing my own home chores/repairs/thingies… whatever you call it… did I mention I’m a newb? Thanks to Meena’s review, I was able to get my keys copied. I don’t really know where to go to get keys copied or how much it should cost. But if you’re in a real pinch(or a newbie) and you live/work in the area then Cumberland Shoe Repair is a good choice. It’s a small shop located in the Cumberland Terrace underground near the food court and the entry to the Bay subway station. There were 2 people ahead of me but I was still able to get my keys copied in less than 10 minutes. 2 keys were under $ 7. They got the job done and I was able to get my keys. Hooray! Bonus that they’re located near the Subway.

It’s so expensive here! Prices are much more expensive than other shoe repair stores around the area. I encourage you to shop around if you’re in the area.

Oh GAWD why am I so embarrassing. I ended up coming here after copying the wrong keys THREETIMESIN A ROW at Dudley’s. I was too ashamed to show my face there a fourth time… Cumberland got the job done. The gentleman there was speedy and professional. He even let me come back with cash without a second thought(kind of a big deal considering this is Toronto). They do accept debit and credit but I just felt silly putting it on a card for $ 3.40. Heads up: They do charge more than Dudley’s. About double the price for key cutting. Guess cause they have to pay that Cumberland Centre rent.
