Custom Maids is fantastic! They have great customer service; helping me find a maid in a pinch! What makes them standout for me is their attention to detail (washing baseboards, removing marks off the walls, etc). This made a huge difference and my apartment sparkled afterwards. I also loved the checklist they left behind with everything they accomplished and cleaning supplies I need to restock. So well organized! I would recommend them to anyone who needs a thorough cleaning and great customer service!

I’ve been using custom maids for 3 – 4 years. I’ve had 2 maids over that period and both were on time, friendly, reliable and trustworthy (first one moved away unfortunately!). I have no issues leaving my keys for my cleaning to be done if I am out of town and if I leave specific cleaning instructions they are followed. They charge a bit of a premium for a reason. I would recommend them to anyone looking for reliable cleaning.

I’ve used Custom Maids four times over a period of a couple of years. The first two times were fine, but the latter two were terrible. These most recent ones are what my rating is based on.
The first bad experience was a maid who was really bad at managing her time. She tried to make everything very clean, but spent too much time on each thing, so that when her time was up, she hadn’t finished her job. Also, while cleaning some mirrored closet doors, she made weird semi-​crying sounds of frustration. 1. If cleaning has this emotional effect on you, maybe you should choose a different profession. 2. Even if it has this effect on you, it’s inappropriate to allow me to notice it.
The latest bad experience was just a few weeks ago. The maid we got didn’t seem to want to work very hard, neither did she seem to know how to do her job. When I first called for the appointment, I laid out exactly what we needed, but when I relayed the same information to her, she balked, saying that Custom Maids only does «general cleaning». I’ll admit my list was unusual, but it had been cleared over the phone. Here’s how she did:
— lower half of walls (I have a dog who likes to rub up agains the walls and his spit often ends up there too): she left streaks all over the wall that we had to go over afterwards.
— a bathtub, a shower stall, and wall tiles: the tub and tiles were fine, but the floor of the stall wasn’t really clean after she was done with it.
— kitchen cupboards: she wiped them down hastily, leaving them as soiled as they were before.
— oven. This was the worst. Our oven was pretty bad, but she didn’t even know how to use the Easy Off. You’re supposed to leave it on AT LEAST one hour before you wipe it down, so it can work on the dirt. She wiped it after 20 minutes and was surprised the dirt didn’t magically come right off.
Custom Maids are cheap, but you get what you pay for. Waste of money.

i decided to hire custom maids as I am running 2 business and just don’t have time to clean much. I scheduled an initial deep clean — 5 hours for a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. I have two dogs.
They did a fairly good job on the bedrooms and bathroom, cleaned the microwave and the floors in the kitchen. Dusted parts of the entertainment unit, but other parts left dirty. Didn’t clean between couch cushions, walls or cupboard doors as they specified they would do. They left streaks on the faucet in the bathroom and didn’t clean the kitchen faucet at all.
Overall we were disappointed and will not be having them back.

I never thought I’d be the type of person to hire a maid, because I just feel like cleaning service is something that is reserved for people with houses too large to clean or for lazy housewives. Well, I’ve been living alone for just over a year and I do clean, but found it difficult to get to all the nitty gritty stuff like thoroughly cleaning the microwave, the fridge, behind the toilet and dusting the crevices between furniture. I decided to call Custom Maids, and what a relief to not have to think about cleaning all weekend.
They emailed me a list of cleaning supplies, which was not very extensive, but I don’t like strong chemicals being used so I bought some eco-​friendly equivalents. They also said that I could leave a list of items that the maid could work on in order, which I did. There were just a few small hiccups. I found out that the maid completely missed the list written in large sharpie and taped up in the hallway and just did the usual cleaning, which was okay except my #1 & #2 task of emptying out the vacuum and folding a bunch of clean clothes didn’t happen. The bucket that I got wasn’t large enough to fit the entire sponge mop in, so she used the Swifter Wetjet, which I’m not too happy about because I usually only use that to clean up small messes. The maid brought her own cleaning supplies and used them as well, which is okay, but again, I don’t like the strong chemical smell left behind.
I would probably call Custom Maids again, even though I wasn’t completely satisfied with the service, because it is one of the few companies that offer services on the weekend. They also said that they try to send the same maid each time, which makes me feel more comfortable. They also said that all of the maids are bonded too, which is a must.

I needed to get my apartment cleaned on short notice and Custom Maids scheduled an appointment on one day’s notice. The cleaner arived promply and did a really good job of cleaning up the apartment. The best thing is that they take on one additional major job in addition to a routine cleaning of the apartment. I got my entire refrigerator cleaned inside and out.
The cleaner completed the work on time and handed over a receipt before heading out. The only tiny issue is that they ask you to provide the cleaning supplies, and some of them are not things I routinely use.
I will definitely go back to Custom maids the next time I need to get my apartment cleaned.

Thousands of dollars worth of damage to our furniture.
Our first experience was a disaster! Custom Maids representative Miranda left the apartment in a mess (didn’t clean window sills, the desk, hardly dusted and had to had outstanding areas pointed out to here before she left). Found items on the checklist that were checked as done despite clearly avoided. To our surprise we have discovered damage after her departure that she attempted to mask and failed to acknowledge to date despite photographic and video evidence. The person provided by the company to assess the damage turned up with a camera with flat batteries and implied that our 1 year old daughter might have been responsible for the damage caused by improper use of our Dyson hoover. General manager not helpful and rude to us after alleged damage announced. Very unprofessional, wouldn’t recommend nor use again.

Amazing group of cleaners at a phenomenal price. They specialize in weekday service and DO NOT do evenings. But with some smooth talking you can get weekend service.
I would recommend for your home or office needs.
ps. I have a great cleaner with them and I will share their name if you ask me direct, but she’s so great I don’t want to overwhelm her with requests.
