D & K Spa Nails

First time here yesterday. They got me in right away, the guy doing my nails seemed nice. There’s signs up saying «no talking on phone loud and no swearing.» Who goes to a nail salon and is swearing? It made me feel weird about what kind of clientele they have. One woman was on her cell the entire time. I didn’t need to hear her loud conversation. Very rude to other customers. When this woman was paying she was arguing about the price. I guess it was higher than she expected. Then when it came time to wash my hands after all the grinding, he didn’t say to wash my hands. First place I’ve ever been to that didn’t say this. I thought okay maybe it’s different here. Then he pulled out the shellac swabs and insisted I get shellac on my gel nails. I asked if they had OPI Polish, because I just wanted that. He said «nail polish is bad and won’t last.» (Lie, it’s what I’ve always gotten). I said no I want nail polish. Another man comes over that works there. The two men are standing over me and pressuring me to get the shellac. I couldn’t believe it. They already pressured me into a full set when I just wanted a fill. I wasn’t interested in spending more, especially for something I didn’t even want. I stayed firm, finally he showed me where the OPI was (at the back). They didn’t have the color I wanted so I picked another. After that I just felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I paid $ 40 full set. He told me to wash my hands after the polish dried. Weird. I think he forgot to tell me to do it sooner. Won’t be returning.
