Dancing with Carolyn! offers children’s dance classes to boys and girls between the ages of 18 months and 10 years old. All classes are led in a non-​competitive, positive, and inclusive environment. We believe children’s dance classes should offer a balance of technique, creativity and play. Our highly qualified teachers use creative stories, imagery, and play to teach the technical aspects of dance.

Join us for our Creative Movement, Pre Ballet, Ballet, Jazz/​Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Mommy & Me classes. Don’t miss our annual year-​end dance recital in June. Come join the fun!

History

Established in 2009.

Carolyn opened Dancing with Carolyn! in January 2009 so that she could provide quality dance classes to young children in a studio setting, in educational settings and in children’s homes. Children who participate in studio classes have the opportunity to perform in our annual year-​end recital.

Meet the Business Owner

Carolyn L.

Business Owner

Carolyn is an energetic, passionate and caring dance teacher with 15 years of teaching experience. She has intensive training in ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and tap. Carolyn graduated from York University in 2006 with a BFA in Dance with Honors, and in 2012, with a B. Ed with a focus in Fine Arts. Carolyn is a certified teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate divisions. She loves to work with students of all age groups and has a lot of fun with the little ones! Carolyn worked as a preschool teacher for two years and has taught various dance programs in French and in English in Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa and Moncton, NB. Carolyn continues to train and perform but her passion continues to be teaching.
