I’ve only been here once after wanting to for a while! After all, it is the top rated gelato in Toronto! Kind of picked a bad night to try it considering I did the night of taste of little Italy, but nonetheless it was great! The line was huge! Literally went out the door, but despite this the staff were great and on their game. I was really excited to see all the cool and funky flavours they had! My boyfriend is a boring and traditional Italian so he always just gets lemon: P but I tried mixing chocolate and banana. FANTASTIC!!! Will 100% be back, likely on a less busy day!

Bacio flavour is my favourite. I’ve actually been on a bacio testing trip this summer and every time I had a chance to try out a new place, I did. So far Dolce’s Bacio is the best.

Great gelato. A lot of variety and options. Watch out it can be expensive. Service is slow there can be long lines. Well worth the wait and the price though.

Great location, great Gelato. I do personally prefer the Kensington location’s service, but it’s just a matter of foot traffic.

hnnnngggg this place’s gelato makes me feel things… Pleasant things. I always get dark chocolate and coconut and then proceed to fantasize about it for weeks afterwards. I don’t know what their secret is but its working! open up more locations plz. one near my house would be nice.

I went here for the first time the other day with my boyfriend. A nice perk is that they open pretty late since we decided we wanted a last-minute late night dessert after dinner on a weekday. We went with their Strawberry Cheesecake but couldn’t decide if we wanted the Bacio or Nocciola. Luckily, they offer sample tastings of any flavors so we got to try both. It still took us a while to decide because they were both so good but we went with the Nocciola(hazelnut) rather than the Bacio(which tasted like Ferrero Rocher) after the friendly girl behind the counter told us it would pair better with the Strawberry Cheesecake. Boy, was she right. The sweet, fruitiness of the S. C was mellowed out by the hazelnut. Good call. Atmosphere was very clean, nicely lit and not too crowded on a Tuesday night, but they were obviously busy with business. Place was clean and nice. We sat out on the patio and shared our gelato there. We both enjoyed it a lot and are planning to return again ASAP.

I came here to get some gelato. The place only offers 3 free samples. I was seriously considering not getting any because I only liked 1 out of the 3 that I sampled. The smallest amount you can buy is 2 flavours/scoops. You could probably pick both scoops as the same flavour but I wasn’t willing to just have one flavour. It wasn’t busy and as I stood there wondering if I should leave, the woman kindly gave me a 4th sample. I ended picking it as one of my flavours. In the end, I got the dark belgian chocolate and the tiramisu. The chocolate was really rich and good. The tiramisu wasn’t so good. It had icy bits in it that spoilt it a little. This place loses 2 stars because of the icy bits and the 3 sample limit. Price is pretty reasonable. 2 medium sized scoops for $ 5.75 and the woman made sure to really pack the ice-cream into the container. I might come back again, but I’ll try some other places first.

I often frequent this place for Gelato and I really think it’s one of the best places in the city. I would give the business a five but they only allow you to have three samples when you come. I personally like to know what I’m purchasing. I could see the need for this on really busy times but on times where there is no one there you should be appreciating your customers and wanting to sell your product.

Went here this weekend during taste of little Italy. Hectic weekend but I’m here to judge the gelato– which was delicious! The line was nearly out the door but moving fast with plenty of staff to handle the crowd. I tried lemon and passionfruit — it was amazing! The fruity flavours were great and servings were generous. Cups or cones offered– I chose the cup because it’s easier. I tried a sample of the mint which was amazing — all the people in my group enjoyed it.

Stopped in here for a post dinner snack. I tried there gelato and an espresso. The gelato was really good and they have a large variety of favours to try, but the espresso fell a little flat for me. I might come back for gelato again.

The gelato was delicious and the price was really fair. They had a decent variety of flavors and the french vanilla cappuccino that I got and the mango that my boyfriend got were both great. They didn’t have much seating area available, but I didn’t expect that in the middle of the afternoon on a warm day. I imagine sitting in would be nice because the place looked pretty clean too. If I lived closer to downtown I would come a lot more often. I can’t wait til I get to visit again!

Enjoyed our gelato on a Saturday afternoon! 2 fairly nice sized scoops for only $ 4.75! A great place to sit and relax as well!

The Gelato here was fabulous!!! Gelato — I had the Dolce de Leche flavour, it was so so good. Perfect consistency and texture and not too sweet. — My son had the Frutti di Bosco that was divine. That was the perfect blend of sweet and«sour». I love berry flavoured desserts so that was perfect for me to share with him. Atmosphere — Very nice interiors, nice fixtures and fittings. Nice furniture and ample space. There is a combination of cocktail tables and regular tables. Nice family outing place or date nice place environment for downtown. Staff — The staff were very courteous. One of them was a bit hasty and was rushing us a bit which I did not like as we were first timers and we needed the time to taste the flavours. Overall — Great gelato, staff and atmosphere I will definitely return!

Beyond delish! I had the red velvet AND the chocolate mousse cake(yes, both) and a caramel latte. I didn’t give a full five star rating because the prices were a bit higher than I was expecting. It was about $ 16 just for the slices of cake. The menu is on a slideshow on a TV– even though I like the aesthetic of that– it took about 3 or 4 minutes for the drink menu to come along. I would definitely go back! And it’s perfect for date night or girls night!

I got two scoops of gelato; pistachio and dolce de leche. Dolce de leche was great as expected but oh lawddd the pistachio was delicious. I went here on a weekday afternoon in September so other than the two of us, it was empty but still a great little place for a hangout.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for weeks and the time to experience it came this past weekend. Let me tell you how I feel about it… The décor of the place was okay. Nothing out of the norm. GELATO: For my order, I tried their bacio, which was chocolate hazelnut with roasted hazelnut chunks. The taste didn’t really make my taste buds go crazy or anything. I could barely taste the hazelnut to be honest. I also ordered this gelato that’s based with Nutella. I’m almost positive it’s called Pigiano. I loved the subtleness of the flavor. It was definitely gelato-like and not ice cream-like. COFFEE: I decided to order an espresso macchiato, but ended up getting just an espresso. It was okay too. Nothing extraordinary. The service was okay. There was only one staff the time I went there, which I find odd since it’s a weekend. As said above, I ordered an espresso macchiato but the server forgot about it. She apologized and served me an espresso. Oh well.

I can see why this place is so popular! I was brought here as a surprise one evening and it was crowded even at 10:30pm on a week night. Because it was so busy, the customer service people seemed impatient. After sampling 3 flavours, we got an arched eyebrow that clearly community«Stop sampling and make a decision NOW!» So we hastily chose hazelnut(a staple that I always get) and pistachio(there were two kinds — we got the brighter green one). The pistachio was alright — had a really almondy aftertaste — but I think I might have preferred the roasted almond in that case, which Sweetheart didn’t want to get. The hazelnut was very, very good. It had a nice, rich flavour(but not the super strong, clearly fake, extract flavour), it wasn’t grainy, and it wasn’t too sweet(which is the case with many, many gelato places). It was cool and creamy and smooth, and it was frozen slightly harder than many gelatos, which I prefer because I hate when they melt prematurely. In hindsight, maybe the«special», lighter-coloured pistachio may be better? I also tried the mint chocolate chip at the Kensington location and it was just okay. It could’ve been mintier, there could’ve been more chocolate, and I didn’t like that it was electric green. Despite the so-so pistachio and mint, and the impatient service, I give Dolce 4 stars for having the best hazelnut gelato I’ve tasted in the city. I’d be interested in trying other flavours. But next time I’ll make sure I know what I’m ordering by the time I get to the front of the line! :P

I really wanted some gelato on this hot summer day. Thanks to my fellow Unilocalers, I came across this cute gelato place. This place has many flavors to choose from. I sampled the arancia(freshly squeezed orange juice with citrus finish) and watermelon but ended up settle in for frutti di Bosco and mango. Both were so good and refreshing. Too bad I only ordered a small cup hehe

Bright neon colours! Super fruity flavours! A smörgåsbord of choices! With my Pastry Chef Vision, I can see that the gelato here is created using pre-made bases which are concentrated in flavour and artificial colours. My Pistachio is Kryptonite green and obviously flavoured with almond extract. The Strawberry is eighties’ pink and bursting with flavour. The Salted Caramel is quite creamy and tasty. Essentially with Italian gelato, you are faced with two choices: gelato that’s made from scratch or gelato that’s made with prefabricated bases. There is a huge difference between the two with the latter being flashy in appearance. There are a few places in the city that make authentic gelato from scratch; Dolce isn’t one of them. That being said, the whole family enjoyed their dessert in Little Italy, and I’d stop in again. Dolce isn’t my first choice for gelato but it’s hip, trendy, and fun.

Came here after dinner since we were around the area and was not full from dinner. A lot of variety of gelatos, and other yummy desserts. Ordered a small cup of gelato which included two flavours. It was delicious and a great way to end off the night. If I am in the neighborhood again, I would stop by here. but would not go out of my way to come here.
