Dollar Car Rental

Rented an Economy car here on Priceline nearly a month in advance for a weekend out of town. Was called the day before to say they didn’t have any cars for me other than a pick-​up truck, and that all other locations were sold out. The only excuse was «we were over booked, it happens a lot, I don’t know what to tell you».
They helped a bit by finding me a vehicle, but still way above Economy and therefore worse on gas.
I took the car back with a tiny, tiny bit below a full tank, barely noticeable. I was told it wasn’t full and it would be a $ 15 charge. I said no thanks, I’ll go fill it up. They tried to ask me to pay the $ 15 but it was under $ 10 at the pump.
I’ve been told by friends they had the exact same problem at this location. Do yourself a favour, do not rent from these people. Not worth it.

We planned to spend the day in Niagara Falls, and walked several blocks to this dump to pick up our rental car after breakfast. When we got there, at the reserved pickup time, the guy behind the desk casually informed us that they had no cars at all! (Another customer was seated in the waiting area, also waiting for a car.) We asked when we might expect a car to be available — he had no idea, and was not helpful at all. This is no way to run a business!
Fortunately, the concierge at our hotel was able to find us a car from another company (Discount), which was immediately available — and for a better price.
