During my last visit to Toronto I had the opportunity to attend a concert at Downsview Park and it was one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. The park was easy to access via public transportation. We took the subway from downtown and then a bus directly to the entrance of the concert. This allowed us to bypass the hassle of finding a place to park and traffic in general. The ride from downtown was a little long, but because of traffic it would have been much longer if we had taken a car. The concert stage was set up in a big open field that slightly sloped toward the stage. It was easy to have a great view of the stage from many different places. Drink and food stations were set up around the perimeter. They served beer and canned cocktails. We also snacked on food from a food truck before the show started. Best of all was the view of the sun setting over the stage as the concert started. Overall, Downsview is a great concert venue. It beat, hands down, any stadium or amphitheater show setup I’ve seen in the states.

Went here to see AC/DC and based on the experience getting in and out, will never come to another concert here again. The band were great, as to be expected, but the facilities, parking and traffic management are a disgrace. Before the concert they cram you in as close as possible, and won’t let you back-up into your spot, so at the end of the gig you have to run the gauntlet of trying to back out whilst thousands are trying to get out. Then afterwards there is zero traffic management. And I mean ZERO! So it becomes a free-for-all as every selfish driver creates new lanes and drives anywhere to get out. It took us 90 minutes to drive a couple hundred yards. It is unacceptable that a venue charges so much to get in and park and make zero effort to facilitate a reasonable exit. There is virtually no public transit within easy reach of the venue, so driving is the only practicable way to get there.

Went to the AC/DC concert there. Great band, great music. Downsview is an awful venue. 2 hours stuck on the road to get in there — no decent public transit so not much choice. Parking was $ 30(way too expensive) and we had to sleep in the car after the concert to wait out the chaos leaving. The lineup to the washrooms was 10 minutes long before the concert before it even started. Poorly thought out and poorly executed — never going back.

Went: Sun May 24, 2015, 3 p.m.(61⁄100) We came here hoping to do some doors open around here, but it was getting late for that, so we just walked around the park and spent some time sitting under a tree. I am from Markham, so I’ve only heard of the park, but without an event going on here, it is pretty blah. It is not really that attractive, but maybe that is because it is meant to be more of an event space and a venue rather than a nice place to visit, buy why can’t it be both? We had a nice time, but the park itself was underwhelming, and I probably wouldn’t go back. Maybe if I moved near there, and there was an event … 2.0 stars, round to 3.0.

Downsview park/parc is a place in transition. There is construction, community gardens/greenhouses, a huge market, waking/running/biking trails, soccer, basketball, Etc. the new-ish park is lovely and I have enjoyed it many times. Walking or running its also just a beautiful place to hang out and have a picnic and j have done all 3. Lovely views and full of people enjoying it. The bathrooms are always clean which is a huge plus.

Very picturesque running spot. Lots of butterflies, birds and tons of nest plants. Many criss crossing paths. I wish there we’re more unpaved trails.

Have come here for a few concerts, including fun. and Tegan & Sara(who were amaaaaaazing by the way). Anyway, this place is just a field. It rained a few nights ago so it was muddy and gross. At concerts you’ll find a lot of overpriced beer stands, which is a standard for all events. My only concern is the accessibility — I can’t walk well due to an injury and just getting to the field was quite the hike. By the time we got to the concert, I was pretty tired. Having to do it again to leave this place was not fun. Shuttles to and from the field would be a HUGE plus in my books.

I would have given this park 5 stars as I’ve attended many wonderful events there in the past. But This weekend it seems they are actually allowing a Bullfight to go on(Alliance of Portuguese Clubs) and consider that ‘entertainment’. How absolutely horrible and disgusting. Who thought that would be a good idea and actually approve it! Disappointed and outraged that such a thing would even be considered!

Huge facility but the parking staff are young & inexperienced on customer services plus can be straight up rude to visitors. I don’t like getting charges $ 20CAD to park & for you to give me attitude at 10am. Beyond that this vast facility worked week for the Veld. I would try it again.
