Excalibur Comics

Growing up as a young geek in the west-​side, Excalibur was more then just another small comic-​book shop, it was a part of my life on a weekly basis and acted as a home away from home for many of my formative years.
The owner Robert runs a great store and is hands-​down one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. If the specific volume or issue you are looking for is not available, he will literally move mountains to help you get your hands on it. The care and service available at Excalibur is leaps and bounds beyond any other store in the city. Great selection of everything from comics, trade paperbacks, collectible card games, figures, and much much more.
If you find yourself on the west-​side of town, and are even remotely interested in anything geek related, mosey on down to Excalibur. You definitely will not be disappointed.

I’ve been to this store many times for comics and yugioh cards. I must admit that it is a very tiny store and in the summer it is so hot in there, but the owner Rob is a very friendly and nice guy. I see him giving some of his customers free cards and so I asked if i can have a couple and he said yes. I was very happy with that. I also had a series of comics that i wanted to read but he did not carry them, what he did for me though was that he ordered the comics in and sold them to me.

Before they expanded to include a second floor, Excalibur Comics had to have been the tiniest comic book shop I’ve ever been inside (The first thing I ever bought here was Legends of the Dark Knight #1 when I was a kid, and even then it was pretty snug).
The ground floor space is only a few square metres – barely enough to turn around in when there’s more than two or three people inside. Defying all logic, it’s pretty common to see regulars hanging out inside that tiny space anyway, chatting it up. So if you’re looking for a real hole-​in-​the-​wall gem to patronize with your comix-​Pokemon-​whatever dollars, or just want to see how geeks interacted before the internet, check it out.
