I hate leaving these kinds of reviews especially when the people seem so nice but here it goes: Customer service– 10 stars. Very pleasant people. Even gave me hand massages while doing my manicure. Nails– 0 stars because they started chipping less than an hour after getting them done. Very strange. I wanted a fresh manicure for my travels but they didn’t even last an hour and I actually kept my hands unoccupied when the chipping started. Not sure if it was the top coat they used, the oil, other products, the technique? I have no idea. Too bad though. Their service was amazing. I would gladly return and even update my review if they have identified and fixed the chipping problem. Mind you, this was in January 2014 when I was travelling to Istanbul(beautiful place, by the way). What can I say? I’m a very busy gal with an excellent memory. Anyways, just wanted to put this out there because I don’t know if they are under the same management or even have the same staff anymore.

We went there to get shellac mani pedi and upper lip wax. They burned my friend’s upper lip completely and told us it happens to everyone. My nails broke after a week and the shellac came off in a couple of days. Plus they have bad attitude, never going back again!!!

I loved this place for being one of the more hygienic places on the block and for having friendly, pleasant service. I also liked the 10 day guarantee for shellac However, just today I finally went in to take advantage of the shellac guarantee after my shellac mani chipped after just 5 days(on 4 different fingers). Not a huge deal, I’m a surgeon and I wash my hands a lot so it’s hard on my nails. This is why I liked the guarantee! I’ve never had to use the guarantee before, but this time I think I had an inexperienced manicurist, and there was some colour over the cuticle, so it hadn’t bonded well. However, they made it a really unpleasant experience. First they seemed quite surprised that I wanted it fixed. Then I was told to wait, but then other people started arriving after me and getting their walk-in mani/pedis started while I kept waiting! Then when I asked the manager(the female one) how long I would have to wait(since everyone was going ahead of me, with no end in site, as the place is quite busy), she suggested I come back. I asked for a specific appointment. She just told me to wait again. This was quite frustrating. Then finally she looked in the book to see which employee had done my nails 5 days ago and asked her to fix it. She painted over the chips, which did leave a weird divot and some irregularity on one of the nails. It’ll get me through the weekend, but I’m not happy with the appearance and it was an unpleasant experience.

Had a pedicure there recently and was very impressed by the quality of the work. Clean spa and professional staff. Only nail salon in the neighborhood with warm, comfortable, living room-like atmosphere. The only drawback I saw was that they don’t seem to have any air dryers for hands/feet, which is rather bizarre. You are expected to air dry the colour(they have a spray which they’ll apply to speed up the process). But if you’re in a rush, this may not work for you. I really like their hours, they open early and close late. Well done!

It’s one of many nail salons on Yonge street between Eglinton and Loblaw’s however I would not recommend this place. I’ve come in here twice, first for mani/pedi and shellac on fingers $ 55 and second for shellac mani and polish change on toes $ 28 with student discount. Both times my shellac chipped within 48hrs and my toe polish as well. I have never in my life had my toes chip unless I did it myself. When I went in the second time thinking the first was just a fluke, they mentioned that there was now a 2-week shellac guarantee. I was up north when my chip happened but when I came back on the 8th day they said no they wouldn’t fix it. I explained it was the long weekend to which they basically said if it chips near your nail bed that’s when they fix it but if it chips at your fingertip you’re SOL. I had no intention of forcing them to live up to their«guarantee» because that would just be awkward so now I walk a block north to get friendly reliable service because this place just doesn’t have the technique down pat.
