Feed Me More Pet Foods

This is my go-​to place for my lil one’s food needs. I buy Acana Grasslands from here. Although they recently raised their price, it is still a bit cheaper than other pet stores in the area. Everytime I visited over the past two years, I was always greeted and served by the same guy which leads me to think that he is the owner. He always has a smile on his face and has been friendly towards us and offers a treat to make my dog feel special.

I have been shopping at Feed Me More since getting my dog almost 2 years ago. I buy Acana about once a month, and they definitely have competitive prices on the brand (can’t speak for other brands). From what I’ve seen, their brushes/​harnesses are in the average price range for downtown.
I have never had any issues with the staff. I go in, and say hi and if I have my Samoyed (who howls from across the street with anticipation to see them) they always ask to give her a treat. If I have any questions, they always answer them to the best of their knowledge and aren’t pushy to sell anything. Yes, one of the employees is more on the quiet side, but that doesn’t equal unfriendly, he simply just doesn’t talk your ear off with product knowledge like some other stores do.
I live really close, so yes, it is convenient for me to walk but they do offer a delivery service for (I think) $ 5 extra, which for many people is definitely worth while. They carry mostly the healthier foods (at least for dogs) and most of your average accessories. The store is small but well stocked and organized and if they don’t have something you need, they have no issues ordering it in for you.
I cannot speak on behalf of cat owners, but as for dog owners I definitely recommend the store and hope you give them a proper chance!

This place is clean and organized and has what you need for cats and dogs.
The prices are a straight rip-​off. Sure it is convenient, but damn. $ 36.99 for a standard catbox? please.
I could also use less sass from the counter «dude.» He had no clue about cat toys and really was annoyed to even talk to me in general.
Unless it is an emergency, I will not go here again.

They are way more expensive then other pet stores in the area. For example, I could get the same flea drops at Pet Valu for $ 16.00 while Feed Me More would charge $ 28.00.
Also, they are selling puppies and kittens despite the bylaw that bans such activities.
DON’T go there.

I have to say I was not a fan of Feed Me More when they were on Wellesley, but now that they have moved to Church street it seems like they have refined their stock and are less sketchy.
As I can’t throw to many stones, as my dog is a pet store puppy — I got very very lucky and he is not a puppy mill dog and is I would say better then one I would have got from a breeder — I have to say I’m very happy that they are no longer selling puppies, but they still need to take care of the selling kittens issue.
I recently switched Finn (my 3 year old cocker spaniels) food to Origins, and Feed Me More has very competitive prices on it and they carry every size and formula that Origins offers. They also carry some great natural and organic dog treats. Their toy selection is great, but I find they can be a bit pricey.
Over all I love this place and the fact that it’s so close to my house doesn’t hurt.

I have shopped at Feed Me More for 3 or 4 years now, both at their original location & now a bit further down on Church Street.
I do not understand how the last reviewer was able to make the comments he did about the few kittens that are available at the store, as he has never purchased a pet from there and has no first hand experience with any pets having been available there.
I go into Feed Me More 2 – 3 times a month, to purchase dog food and treats for my Pekingese. The owner or his staff have always been helpful to me, offering me a range of products to choose from when I ask for something. The most expensive items are not pushed here.
The pets in the store are always content, from what I can see, and their cages are clean and well provisioned with food and water.
The thing I like best about shopping here is that the prices are lower than anywhere else in the neighbourhood, and the staff are very helpful.
If you prefer not to buy your pets from a store, fair enough. But if you are considering such a purchase, it is good to know that the store has been on the street for a long time and they stand behind everything they sell. A small store depends on its reputation, and I doubt they would have the business they do if they were selling unhealthy kittens.
Three quick final tips:
1) You can get baked pet food from this store, for those of you concerned about big pet food manufacturers and what they put inside their products;
2) The store will deliver, for those of you not wanting to haul around 10kg of food or cat litter; and,
3) They are open Sunday mornings, for you weekend early birds.
