Great place where to get attentive and traditional service. As soon as you walk in it feels like you just got to your uncle’s place to get a haircut. Where nowadays barbershop are getting sophisticated where steep price only bring you glitters along with just a regular cut and a treatment like if you were a number, here is like stepping into the old fashioned barber shop, family feeling where the barber recognize you even if you got there once. Prices are super and the job is done fast and extremely well. Go and check it out yourself and I can guarantee you that you won’t regret it. :p

George is an amazing barber. He’ll listen to what you want and he’ll make it look nice. The atmosphere is friendly. For the price of $ 15 you cant beat it. I refuse to get my hair cut anywhere else.

Excellent haircuts, great price, extremely friendly service. I’ve been going to George’s Barber Shop now for many months, and every time I get a haircut there, I am always happy with the results. The price is extremely decent, at $ 15 + tip, for a men’s cut, especially based on the quality of work the George does. Based on this experience, I’m definitely planning on returning to George to get my haircut again in the future.

Excellent hair cuts, friendly barber, who doesn’t like that? George has a great shop full of interesting ex-leafs players, Beatles records and even godfathers painting!

George is the best barber around! Very nice guy and reasonable prices. Will never go anywhere else in the city.

I’ve been looking for a good barber for years in the Mimico area. Up until now I have been using a salon. The problem was that they had constant change in staff and it was impossible to get a consistent hair cut. George is a great guy(speaks six languages) and cuts hair with scissors(clippers around the sides) and knows how to take care of customers. Good fifty’s music makes a wait OK. Too bad he doesn’t take appointments, but being a one man shop I can see that it would be too difficult. There isn’t too much street parking, but a huge lot around back of MacDonald St.

I’ve gone to George for haircuts ever since I moved to Mimico in 2011. He was at Pat’s barber shop across the street from SanRemo bakery but moved down to his own shop a little further south on Royal York. Always had great consistent haircuts from George. George is a great guy, never has a bad day(or at least doesnt show it) so it’s always a treat to stop by for a cut. The hot foam around the back of the neck and sideburns is a nice touch. Atmosphere at the shop is great, good conversation, cool pictures & posters on the wall, and usually some classic 80’s comedies playing on the TV. While the experience George’s has that traditional barbershop feel, where it stands out from the past is the inclusion of free wifi. Nice touch, George. Oh and best of all, the haircuts are affordable!

If you remember George from Pat’s on Simpson Ave, you’ll find him down the street at his own shop. He does excellent work and he always remembers what I like and knows what won’t look so good on me. Traditional barber with great rates and good conversation. Don’t forget to tip!
