The staff are always nice. If they don’t have the size I need in stock they order it in for me.

I recently moved into the area and found this neighbourhood gem for pet supplies. Its a small store but well stocked. It has great brands, cool toys and the best selection of dog coats. The staff are very knowledgeable, and if you are after something they don’t have, they will try and get it for you. My dog was having some health issues and the owner suggested a food brand from Italy that they were getting great feedback on. I have definitely see an improvement in her overall health. Lots of locals, many pet owners being in led in by their pets out of habit and for the treats, love the neighbourhood vibe!

On the positive side their prices are competitive with others and the young blond guy with a beard is extremely friendly and always greets you with a smile. There is a senior older woman with blond hair that works there and she is often miserable and combative, unfortunately, she is there a lot and makes the shopping experience unpleasant.

It’s a decent pet store. But the owner of the store is nuts.
For years, she would leave her two cats at the store after the store closed. The cats would be alone and unfed from 6pm until 9am. That’s 15 hours alone every day! What kind of pet store owner neglects her pets like that?
Anyway, if you have to go here, try your best to limit interaction with the crazy lady. Get in and get out.

I really like this location. They have a good selection of dog food. The staff is very helpful with any questions you may have. I one asked a strange dog question and the lady working wasn’t sure how to answer and she suggested I call the next day and ask another lady who was more knowledgeable on the subject. Another time they were out of my food, I was given sample to last me until they got their next shipment.

This is my neighbourhood pet store where I purchase Neela’s food. It’s a small store, with 2 aisles, a dog one and a cat one. Plus, more products on the walls and back. Because I buy my cat’s food here, I will focus on the cat aisle, as I am most familiar with that one.
Their cat food selection is limited, but from what they carry, there is Fromm, Royal Canin, Wellness. Unfortunately, it does not carry Orijen, which has a cool packaging and my cat seemed to enjoy it.
They also carry World’s Best Kitty Litter (which I fancy, but I am certain the cat would be indifferent to the brand! Again, excellent packaging design). Their selection of cat toys and other accessories is sufficient.
You can collect «points» and after 10 purchases (?) of the same brand, same size dry cat food bag, you receive your next one free of charge. That’s a nice perk. By the register, they have a collection of pet pictures.
Now, I don’t know if I should volunteer a picture of my cat to be added to the wall, or if they should ask me. I just don’t know what the ~pet store etiquette~ is. The other thing that perplexes me all the time is that one of the staff lives in my same building and while she is polite, she never acknowledges me either there or in the apartment building. It’s a small world and I don’t know if I should broach the topic. But on the other hand, I wouldn’t have anything specific to say, so I respect her boundaries and appreciate that she respects mine too. All this to say that the staff is pretty cool and respectful.

Since I just moved here and am still in search of a raw doog food supplier I popped into this place to buy some canned dog food.
They carry Before Grain… it’s about $ 2.79 a can and 95% meat. My dogs don’t react to it and if you buy a dozen you get a whopping 5% discount.
The store owner was really nice — I wasn’t aware of the $ 0.05 per bag charge so she gave me a free fabric bag.
Cute little store, but based on all the prices of raw dog food in Toronto, I’ve ordered my own meat grinder.
