Greenwin Square Mall

I agree. This part of town is rather sketchy. Security sucks at this mall. They are absolutely useless.

This should really be a 1.5 star, but I’m rather impacted by today’s news.
Let’s talk about generally first — it’s convenient. You have a below average Japanese restaurant, Rexall, post office, dry cleaners, Caribbean jerk chicken, newly opened No Frills and a 24 hr McDonald’s. For people working around here, or living around here, why not?
But sketch town alert! As a girl, I’ve been warned repeatedly not to traipse around here on my own, ESPECIALLY after today’s events. 8:30am armed holdup at Rexall?! On a Wednesday morning? I’ll make that longer walk down to Loblaws, TYVM!

This place is convenient, but… so, so sketchy.
Why are there always people hanging out by the main entrance/​exit? Seriously. There is always a small group, but none of them seem to know each other. Every time I come here I see people just chilling by the entrance/​exit. You have no choice but to pass them. And they’re always creepy, too. They don’t appear to be waiting for a friend, or a bus/​taxi, or anything in particular. They just stand there and creepily (and silently) watch you.
Real talk: if you ignore the rather-​sketchy clientèle and outdated décor (which I believe they are perhaps in the process of renovating, since at the moment there are exposed pipes/​wires everywhere, making this place even creepier) this place is okay. Decent, even. Convenient location and convenient (though limited) stores. No Frills just opened up inside which further increases the convenience level, and it’s a fairly nice No Frills, too, so that’s definitely a plus. AND… it’s a much cheaper alternative to other grocers in the area.
So, come here if you’re running errands (post office, CIBC machines, Rexall, No Frills, walk-​in clinic)… just ignore the creepers (who inadvertently act as silent mall greeters, apparently).

My coworkers and I have named it Murder Mall. There are a bunch of not terrible places including a $ 5 lunch jerk spot, a Rexalls but pretty scary to step into since it is dark and gloomy.
I would never go out of my way to come here.

Working at Yonge/​Bloor can be hectic and whenever you want to run simple errands, it can still take close to an hour due to the chaotic nature of the area.
Enter Greenwin Square just east of Church. Once you are east of Church, it quiets down a lot. This square has a post office, CIBC bank machine, Caribbean place, Druxys, McDonald’s, sushi place, Booster juice, Rexall and a walk-​in clinic.
For your day-​to-​day errand running, this place is perfect. So why only two stars? It’s not really a mall. It has no shopping. But it does the job.

This is one of those places which in theory is great to have around. A mall/​plaza with a Health Clinic, a convenience store, a Goodwill to buy cheap books, glassware/​cutlery and the odd piece of clothing –you might be surprised at the quality! A Rexall, a shoe repair place, a sushi place, Swiss Chalet and even a Mc’D’s. Plus a few others, however, the entire place has a surreal and depressing vibe to it.
I do not know what it is. Is it the cheap-​vibed, slightly-​out-​of-​Fight-​Club lighting? The lame green/​pink plastic colour scheme of the interior decour? Or just the down in their luck look that most patrons seem to have in this place. Just look into the McD’s and you will notice a lot of people there seem, you know, to be just hanging out and kill time. For a LONG time.
Don’t get me wrong, as stated above, this place has it’s advantages and usefulness if you leave nearby. Which I did, I was about 5 minutes west towards Yonge and Bloor but I have to say, this is one of those places where you walk in, do what you need to do and get the heck out because when the most cheery looking place in the whole «mall» is the Rexall, then you know, this place can and will bum you out.

Convenient shopping center offering neighborhood residents and workers with a variety of stores including a McDonald’s, a MCI-Doctor’s Office walk-​in medical clinic, and a Rexall PharmaPlus drugstore. Usually busy during weekdays, the shopping center sits at the base of 345 Bloor Street East (also known as 77 Huntley Street) and serves the shopping needs of the large residential complex found above and also the large employee workforce from the various building of Rogers world headquarters.
Great for its practicality and ambiance, Negative points for its interiors (they really need to remodeled the place to reflect the present as it appears that the last renovation took place during the early 1980s.

Having had several occasions to use the greenwin medical clinic I can tell you that just about anywhere would be better to be teated for anything more involved than the common cold. I have been mis misdiagnosed several times (bacterial infection) and worst of all have several times had them close over an hour early why wouldn’t they leave a recorded message to help those seeking help from them. It really not fun to lug a sick child to a clinIc that has decided to close early only to have to lug her to another clinic wasting time and possibly creating a life threatening situation. That to me shows a lack of concern. Which really is intolerable in a health clinic.

This mall/​office building is always clean and in good repair. For the last two years that I have been coming here they have had a number of bays for lease which always kept me curious as to why it would take so long to rent out the spacee. This last week I noticed they’re renovating the bays and a new business will be opening up (what business is still unknown).
The stores here include a Goodwill, Rexall, McDonalds, Swiss Chalet, Sushi, Pizza, Dry cleaner, alterations, Timothy’s, walk-​in clinic, and a hasty market.
