Business Owner

Bruce has been with Humphrey-​Miles-​Newbigging since 1962, and has been President and CEO since 1990. Always wanting to be in the forefront of funeral service, Bruce has been responsible for creating the Bereavement Services & Community Education department of Humphrey-​Miles-​Newbigging in 1993, and establishing Basic Funeral Services in 1993.

Community involvement has always been important to Bruce; he has been active in many organizations and has served in several roles including: President of the Leaside Lions Club (1979), Division Chairman for the Hospital for Sick Children Capital Campaign (1987), Member of the Board of Governors of Centennial College (1997 – 2000), Advisory Committee Member of the Touchstone Youth Centre (1990 – 1997), Charter Committee Member for the United Way of Greater Toronto, as well as many others.

His corporate experience encompasses the positions of President of the Ontario Funeral Service Association (2004), President of the International Order of the Golde
