History

Established in 2008.

Hybrid Health and Fitness was founded by Dr. Jory Basso in 2008. Dr. Basso discovered through his passion for health and fitness the importance of addressing exercise, nutrition, posture, and other lifestyle factors on the rehabilitation of his patient’s injuries and conditions. This sparked the name ‘Hybrid’ referring to two or more factors contributing towards health and fitness. It is Dr. Basso’s goal to accelerate the healing process and help clients towards optimal health.

Business Owner

Dr. Jory Basso found his passion for sports therapy and chiropractic care after receiving treatment for numerous sports injuries suffered in competition. This fueled his interest in studying treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and conditions. He was accepted into a combined Degree/​Diploma program at the University of Guelph and Sheridan College in 1996. In this intensive program, seven years of education was condensed into five years. A Bachelor of Biological Science Honours Degree specialized in Human Kinetics and a Diploma in Sports Injury Management was granted. He received his Doctoral Diploma in Chiropractic in 2005.

Dr. Basso is a Golf Fitness Instructor and is certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He has provided health, wellness & fitness advice on television including a segment on CBC’s The National. Most recently Dr. Basso has appeared on CMT’s The Fashion District. Dr. Basso believes in a p
