History

Established in 1960.

When current President Al Rams took over Islington Chrysler Plymouth dealership in June of 1981, he had a vision. Islington Chrysler Plymouth was originally created in 1960 and Mr. Rams was now ready to take this dealership to the next level. He wanted to personalize the business of automotive retailing. He was committed to this profession for the long term and knew that taking care of his customers one by one would ensure repeat and referral business. It was a very realistic business approach and one that would guarantee his success in the industry for a long time to come. Twenty-​one years later and the Etobicoke fixture known as Islington Chrysler Fiat is now one of Canada’s most prosperous dealerships.

The approach taken by Mr. Rams in terms of customer service has paid its dividends as Islington Chrysler Fiat has become one of Chrysler’s coveted Five Star dealerships. The highest recognition a dealership can attain in customer sales and service satisfaction.

Meet the Manager

Kris R.

Manager

Kris Rams is the General Manager and Vice-​President of Islington Chrysler; he has been an employee of Islington Chrysler for the past 11 years. His father, Al Rams has been influential in the Canadian automotive industry for over 41 years, and has groomed Kris to be a leader and visionary of his time in the Canadian automotive market.

As a result, Kris has gained a diversity of experience within the automotive business, affording him an extensive breath of knowledge that gives him the foresight to be able to stay ahead of trends. Islington Chrysler has thrived for over 54 years, and Kris’ strong appreciation for every relationship he has forged during his tenure in the automotive business will help him see it through the next 54 years.

In 2014 Kris lead Islington Chrysler to be one of the top sales leaders in Ontario, and 2015 is poised to be a revolutionary year, as a result of Kris’s ability to be result-​oriented and maintain focus on performance and accountability.
