Kim Nails and Spa

Bae and I came here yesterday because we were both getting disgusted by our nails. We called ahead, but honestly, it wasn’t necessary. They started working on us right away. One thing I liked about this place a lot (something I really try to keep in mind when getting my nails done) is that all the staff were adults, who spoke English well-​ish, and were either immigrants or Canadian citizens.
They made us feel comfortable by providing magazines and light banter (joking with my BF about whether he would like to get matching nail colours as me). The filing was detailed enough, exfoliation was on point, and my BF really enjoyed the massage. I’m also very impressed with my shellac as it’s holding on through my lifestyle (dishes, hand washing, cleaning) when most other shellac would have chipped by now.
For the BF’s mani+pedi w/​o polish it was only $ 45 and mine was only $ 50 for shellac mani+regular pedi. Very impressed with the price point alone. Would certainly return with my partner or alone!

This place is clean and staff is very friendly. Massage chairs are really intense so you actually feel the rollers. Great selection of colors! Essie, Opi, and Cnd. My shellac manicure was very precise and they spent a lot of time making sure it was thin coating. I prefer thin because it looks more natural. Great find in Toronto!

Been here a few times since I moved to Toronto, easy location to get to from my apartment. I’ve made appointments but have walked in as well, always very accommodating. I usually had Linda do my nails, very attention to detail, I get the Bio gel nails. Only thing I recommend is allowing a few hours if your getting the gel, I would be there for 1 – 1.5 hours for a fill. No other complaints!

Went here for a Brazilian wax today and it was great. Super clean, fast and as painless as waxing can be. Super happy with the result. Will definitely be back!

This is my first review ever. Just had to give a shout out to kims nails for being an awesome place to relax and get my nails as well as waxing done. They are super efficient without making you feel rushed. Their prices are very reasonable too. Definitely will be going back.

Followed Kim here from her past employer and now she’s the Owner. Kim is fantastic, appointment or walk-​in I’ve never had to wait. The waxing rooms are spotless. Unlike other salons where the employees all speak to one another in their language as if you aren’t even there Kim keeps her salon professional.
The salon offers many services that I don’t use. But if you’re looking for a place to get a wax, mani and pedi this is the place to go for sure!

Really great! Very clean and tidy inside with super nice employees. Awesome job on my nails! I just found the rhinestones fell out of my jewelry quite quickly. As the second person I have ever let touch my brows, one of the ladies did an amazing job!

I went here yesterday for a Brazilian wax, and it was an average experience at first, until the technician applied wax that was too hot without testing the temperature first.
It is normal to be uncomfortable immediately after a waxing, so I ignored the redness and pain for a few hours, until I realized I was swollen and burned down below.
Today I called the salon to tell them I was burned, I wasn’t yelling or screaming on the phone I just calmly told them what happened. I was told that this was all my fault because my hair was too short and she did nothing wrong. I found this a strange response so I decided to just go in person to show them.
When I went in, I saw the technician who did the waxing. I asked for a manager and she declared that she was the manager. She then took me in a room and talked over me, telling me that I was rude on the phone and that the manager was going to be mad at her… So I asked again who was the manager and she again said it was her.
So they are doing everything possible to keep me from speaking to a real manager about this issue which I find extremely sketchy and unprofessional, I will never go there again but I certainly hope whoever runs this place checks on their Unilocal reviews!

I just wanted to say that Kims nails spa is my favorite place ever!
They don’t really do «duck » (.or flare nails) and i bought the duck nail tips for my self and she had no problem doing it at all.
She just knew wat shes doing .
I will definitely come bak again.
I am a regular costumer for sure.
I will always upload new pictures of my nalls as well .

Went here the first time with my husband actually. I’m very picky and I actually for once in my life like a nail salon! I’ve gone back so many times and have brought every girl I know here. My best friend even brought her mother on out monthly mani pedi date. I love all the girls! They are SUPER sweet and attentive.
They have a very clean facility which is top of my list important. It’s a small place so sometimes when they are busy you wait. But come on people, is that really the biggest deal? They are bust because they are good!

The place looks nice but the service sucks. I went here twice to get a pedicure and never ended up getting one. The first time I went they weren’t that busy but said they didn’t have time that day and sent me away. The shop was empty there were stations and staff that looked available.
The second time I went I was told to come back in 1 hour. I came back after 55min and announced myself. Was told to have a seat. 3 woman «walk-​ins» came in and were taken for a pedicure right away. After about 20min waiting that’s an hour and 20 in total I said I have to go. She said two min. I waited 15 more min and told them to cancel the appointment that I just can’t wait anymore.
This was a horrible first and second impression.
I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

It’s a little pricey but you get an excellent job. It’s the first salon in Toronto where I don’t think I wasted my money. Impeccable mani and pedi, the cuticle is removed, no rushing, your feet look great and the massages feel so goo. You don’t have to tell any lady «you are missing this.» Very similar service to the salons back in my country. So happy that I live one block away. Props to Lindsey today!
Never going back to Yeti Nails Salon on Richmond St. What a fiasco.

My new mani pedi place. Clean, quality, friendly, efficient service at a very reasonable price. I’ve been here twice now and have left both times very happy. The ladies here are very accommodating to walk-​ins and will go the extra mile to suggest a third coat or a different under colour. Total pros!

I had a shellac mani and regular pedi today with Dao and was thrilled with the beautiful job she did. She was also the most genuinely friendly nail tech I’ve ever had. Kim’s was clean and had a great selection of colors that seemed new (you all know those crusty bottles at some other salons… not here). It is a small place, and can get a bit tight when full, but the service and quality were great so will definitely be back. It was $ 60 for a shellac mani and regular pedi, which is very reasonable for the area.

Got in with a last-​minute appointment on Mother’s Day weekend no problem. Service unbelievably friendly, where I made an appointment for my wife, and while waiting for her nails to get done, they sat me down on the large massage chair next to hers so I could be close to her.
The price way very decent, and m’lady was extremely happy with the work they did.
I’d definitely take m’lady back there again.

I would like to establish that I do regard Kim as professional, and very friendly. She takes her craft seriously and holds herself to high level of standards. I think anyone who has received her services will concur that she cares deeply for customer satisfaction.
Today, on a whim, I decided it was about time to visit Parkdale’s highly esteemed nail spa! I walked in with a request for Bio Seaweed Gel artificial nails + nail art (on 4 fingers) with a photo for reference. The thrill of a spa offering the EXCAT polish shades to a photo reference is a great feeling~
I was sat down with a «Nail Technician» who went straight into buffering my nail, used a powder brush to wipe away the dust, placed the extensions, shaped them to the squarest «oval» you’ll ever seen, and slathered a copious amount of gel. (The latter should have been the biggest red flag…) She directed me to place my hands into the UV trays below. The trays, that I affectionately refer to as «Dante’s Inferno», are supposedly meant facilitate a «curing» process; however, instead SIMMERED the gel over my natural nail, dealing the most excruciating pain my nails have ever endured!
(The thick layer of gel was culpable for the burning pain: had I done proper research beforehand, I would have known to speak up — rather than assuming my natural nails were at fault.)
This is when Kim took over. She spent over 40 minutes correcting the shape of my nail tips, and buffering the gel to a more «natural» curve. From here, she began the polish application. The result for the single shade polishes are gorgeous — no streaks, ladies! But the nail art, due to the absence of the appropriate brush, was unfortunately not up to either of our expectations.
I do commend Kim for her efforts, the design is still cute, and still greatly appreciate it.
In the end, my total included just the extension + Bio Seaweed Gel [since Kim was unsatisfied with the nail art result].
Just to reiterate, I do think KIM is a great talent. If it were not for her hospitality, I would rate my experience ⁰⁄₅. A part of me wants to give this place a second chance, the other part recalls that horrible burning sensation — ouch!

Kim is back in the neighbourhood!
I’m beyond happy to have Kim back to this area. She provides impeccable work, 100% attention to detail, without rushing. She wants you to be happy and love it!
This is a brand new salon, very clean, you are offered chocolates, tea or water. They carry hundreds of regular or shellack nail polish colours. The stations have built in UV Ray trays below the counters and your toes are dried with a hot dryer while you are getting the manicure.
Toes are scrubbed, rubbed and pampered with hot towel, followed by massage.
Amanda did my pedicure (excellent job!) and Kim did my manicure. Very happy!
You won’t be disappointed, go there!

This was BY FAR the BEST NAIL EXPERIENCE EVER! They pampered me from the first minute — chocolates at the door, tea steeped to my personal preference, nails meticulously soaked, buffed, shaped and painted with a HUGE selection of gel nail polish to boot! I’m coming back every time I’m in town! And the atmosphere is great and CLEAN! Plus they offered me the 15% off for a special October special that they graciously extended to me for my November date :))couldn’t be happier! My nails are fabulous and they are holding up great!
