Many of you love Day-Old Chinese Food. Everyone consumes it with a Passion. As do I on a less frequent schedule than most others, but I indulge once-in-awhile. By chance, King’s Table was the place and simply due to the Item being so cheap. My favourite is Fujian Fried Rice($ 6.95), which was sold at an inconcievable price. Maybe by now you got the hint that Asian Fried Rice is a Day-Old product? Enjoy~ Golden Fried-Rice used as choice for the base, which was quite nicely done. Topped with Sauce, Carrot, Peas, Mushroom, Chicken, Scallops and Shrimps. If I were to be picky, the Error is the choice of Ceramic-ware they served it in. Yes, I’m dedicated to Fujian Fried Rice that way. Now you know. Second dish to chow and discover on was Home Style Fried Special($ 8.75). Discover I say, as nobody, neither servers or us really knew what ingredients. Dish came out looking like Chop-Suey, I haven’t written those words in ages. We believe the higher price-tag was due to the Shredded-Fried Dried Scallops. King’s Table is relatively new, located at what once used to be the crappiest KFC. The staff look and act quite FOB Chinese, which I hope good comes out of that fact. Prices do vary on the Menu, but you may find some value-oriented items like me. For now, this place is hard to figure out. Let the Neighbourhood decide their fate.

2.5 Star for their Soft Opening I hope the King eats a lot better than this :) King’s Table Chinese Cuisine newly opened at the corner of Midland and Finch. The menu is huge with everything one can imagine includes dishes from China and other places from South East Asia. Pricing is quite decent especially the Fried Rice and Noodle Dish. So we decided on Fujian Fried Rice($ 6.95) and Home Style Fried Special($ 8.75). The Fujian Fried Rice is quite nicely done with a egg fried rice based topped with mushroom, chicken, scallops and shrimps. The Home Style Fried Special though a little disappointing. We tried to ask the waiter what’s is this special has and how it is made and where is Home? But he has no clue at all. Ended up it is a stir fried dish of celery, carrot, chives, bean sprout with bits of deep fried dried scallops and salted fish. It is kind of bland tasting and I still have not figure out where is Home?! The deco is quite nice and pleasant with one TV at the back showing NHL game instead of Chinese TV program. Waitstaff are quite pleasant but young and clueless. hopefully that would improve overtime. I will be back when they are up and running smoothly and give them another try!
