I bought a cruiser-hybrid bike from L and J Cycle last week. Larry, the owner was very helpful and patient. He allowed me to test ride the bike for a while and answered all my questions. When I picked up the bike he took some time to teach me about the the bike. I highly recommend this store. Lois

Walked into L & J today, and Larry was very helpful. I told him what I wanted, and he let me take a test drive(just back and forth in front of the store though, due to a lack of insurance or something) He had two very reasonable Norco hybrids in my approximate size, for about $ 350, which is a better price than most new bikes in the area that I’ve seen. He offered free installation of any additional components that I bought when I buy the bike, but that kind of thing wouldn’t be too hard to do on my own.

L & J has been my local bike shop ever since I purchased my wheels here six or seven years ago. I just got a basic Norco point-a-to-b bike but got great treatment and service. A few weeks after your bike purchase you are invited back for a complimentary tune-up(since all the cables and stuff loosen up after you ‘drive off the lot’). L & J is owned by a local couple and they also have a really great bull terrier who hangs out at the store on weekdays. I go there every year or so for my not-so-annual bike tune-up, which at $ 45 plus any parts is the most reasonable price in the area(I called around a few weeks ago just to make sure it was still the case) and currently the turn around is about two business days. Today I went in for a cable lock for my new jogging stroller and also to ask a weird question about extending the handles on this same stroller. He had the lock but not a solution to extend but suggested I check Home Depot ‘cuz you never know what you’ll find there! (Aw shoot I forgot to take a picture of the store while I was there!)
