La Perla Salon & Spa

La Perla Salon is the best salon in downtown. Love this place and people. Their services are best in the city especially their aesthetician Irum. She is EXCELLENT !! I have only great things to say about this salon and Irum. All of my experiences here have been great with waxing, Facials, eyebrows. She takes extra care and highly professional. I highly recommend her!

The hair wash was the only relaxing part, haircut was decent, not the best. When it was time to get the make up done by a «professional artist» i was told she doesnt work on the day i was in, EVEN THOUGH i had mentioned the dealfind voucher and asked for the make up artist. So i have one of the hair dressers do my make up. It was awful that I later stopped by sephora to wipe it off.

Love this place — this is one of the best brazilian waxes I’ve ever gotten.
The price was amazing, they lowered the prices since I went 2 years ago. It was $ 35 for a brazilian, which is about half of what I’m used to paying.
Least painful wax ever. The lady was very skilled and friendly. She asked me if the wax was too hot (it wasn’t). Beforehand she put this powder on my skin, which I didn’t know what its purpose was, until afterwards. It keeps the wax from leaving you sticky — I always leave a waxing appointment sticky until I shower later on, but I finished my appointment an hour ago and I’m not sticky at all.
The place has a good location downtown, easy to find — it’s small, but not too small.
The owner was very friendly. He even offered to do my hair personally if I ever wanted to come in there and get my hair done (next time I need a haircut, I will seriously consider this).
I also liked how they played more upbeat music in the waxing room. Other places I’ve been to have played relaxing music, like you would want to listen to for a massage. More energetic music makes it easier to ignore the slight pain that waxing inevitably causes.
I also called about 3 hours before I wanted my appointment, and got in at the time I wanted, no problem.
I already recommended this place to my friends — I would highly suggest going. This will be my go-​to salon whenever I am in Toronto.

I started going to La Perla after I bought a deal coupon for a cut and highlights. Jenny was my stylist and she is great. I have gone back there another 3 times since and this is my go-​to salon. Jenny does great colour and she always gives me a great cut. Every time I leave with my new style, I get tons of compliments.

My friend and I tried this place out because of a promotion they were running. We both came out with the same horrible haircut. The stylist does not at all listen to what you want. Definitely learned my lesson and will not go back.

I got a voucher to go here from one of those deal websites. It was close to my work so I thought it would be ideal. This was the worst waxing experience I have ever had. It was a filthy salon, filthy waxing room. There were hairs everywhere (hairs from areas that I would rather not see). I had to disrobe in front of here and there was nowhere to put my clothes. There was a giant red spot on the kleenex box. When I confronted someone about it, they claimed it was nail polish… I thought it looked like blood. The esthetically didn’t wear gloves, she double dipped into the wax and then poured rubbing alcohol over the area that had just been waxed… OUCH! I don’t think that was a good idea! I should have left once I realized about the double dipping, but I was in desperate need for a wax.
Not worth the «deal»

I was in University when I came here. Live on residence. They are really good with colour, cut however, not that good…
Go to the gentlemen with the glasses, Jenny or Vince All v. good!

Worst spa experience ever. Dirty room. Was led to the bathroom and the toilet seat was up and the toilet was dirty. Treatment was almost twenty minutes shorter than it was supposed to be. The kicker was that I got a massage and they used baby oil.
