Extremely rude service! I came here to pick out a wine for a friend’s 50th birthday party and asked what’s the best white wine. The guy said in a sassy tone«Don’t ask me that question» and grudgingly took me on a 1 minute tour of the«best» wines he recommended. I ended up going with another wine I read about in the store, where there was a description. I would never recommend this place. Management, you need to hire friendly staff! Don’t come here!

This is my local LCBO. So not fond of this location. I think they have to close when the Manulife Centre does. I feel like the hours are designed for people who work in the area and not people who y’know, actually live here. It seems like they’re always closed when I need them most. ¾ of the time I end up driving to Summerhill. Not an amazing selection of beer, wine, or spirits. Usual suspects can be found here. And is it just me or is the beer organized strangely or differently from other LCs? I do appreciate that they seem to have better and more wine sales than other LCs. Even though I come here far too frequently, I always get IDed. I think it’s because they don’t have consistent staff. I’ve been served by a different person pretty much every time I have been here.

Incredibly rude employees. Very limited selection. I would only go here when I absolutely had to(I live a 2 minute walk away), but after the last time I was there I’m NEVER coming here again – rude rude rude!

I live right across the street from this LCBO so it is definitely convenient for me. Normally I come to the LCBO for beer so that is what this review is generally about. This location is well stocked with beers and generally will be one of the select downtown locations(along with Summerhill etc) that gets a fair selection of most of the new releases when they come out. Can get really crowded with people picking up alcohol after work on Thursday and Friday, so would recommend if you are coming for the selection to come on an off day. Added bonus — can get here indoors from the subway(much better selection than the one under the Bay)

Don’t like the staff here at all. Literally demanded for IDs and there were 2 of us, but I had both IDs(friend is from US, gave it to me for safekeeping). So naturally only I went digging for ID. Staff could not wait 2 secs and asked friend for ID again(rude).

My closest LCBO is the one at Yonge and Bloor, however that store is renown for only carrying populist and mostly cheaper labels. So if you are in the mood to try something really new or different chances are that you will leave disappointing. Mind you though, I do not drink much beer Hence I come here when I want try something new. It is convenient, a little on the posh side and much larger. Sure, it is not humongous like Summerhill but they do have enough of a selection whether it be the regular or vintage to walk out a happy customer. Also a decent Germany section is you are a fan of them. Most LCBO’s carry very little in German wines. Why no Rhine love? Not to mention to it underground from Yonge and Bloor is the weather is not co-operating. Also, they do stay open later than usual, 9:00pm on the Friday & Saturdays and at 8:00pm on the weekedays. About the only bad thing is they close at 5:00pm on Sundays, but as far as I know that is the time all LCBO’s close.

The beer selection at this location always confounds me. Except for the individual tall-boys, it is never stocked. They are constantly out of something or I can never find what I need and have to grab one of the staff to show me because of the hodge-podge of cases all over the place. The rest of the store is fine and it well organized and makes complete sense. Too bad there isn’t a beer store close by or I would just avoid this location completely.

This is a great LCBO. Although it’s not massive, it has pretty much anything you need to get your fix. It’s also very clean and does not have the sketchy population of the one open til 10pm at Yonge and Wellesley. Friendly staff, really cold beer. It’ a good one. Beware — it closes at 8pm mon — thurs, 9pm fri-sat and 5pm sun. That’s the only downfall.
