Locksmiths & Safeman

I’ve been going to Locksmiths & Safeman on Baldwin since I moved to Toronto in 2007. They have never failed me. This includes providing me with reasonably priced replacements for Honda, Kawasaki, BMW and Royal Enfield motorcycles! Staff are knowledgable, service unbeatable and quality is excellent.

Quick service and the keys work. Done deal.

The keys themselves are engraved with their logo and are fully guaranteed so you can just bring them back if there are any issues (but you won’t because they’ll be perfect!).
Had a few sets of door and mailbox keys cut for around $ 3 each. They all fit very well into their respective locks. Very much the opposite my experience with the keys I had cut at Canadian Tire (Dundas/​Bay). For those I had to go back not 1, not 2, but 3 times before I got a set of keys cut well enough to actually work (with minor wiggling). Save yourself the trouble, pay the little extra bit, support a local business, and get a superior product.
Then pat yourself on the back for being so savvy and treat yourself to a tasty gelato from Kekou just down the street — you’ve earned it!

Sweet lock guy. I brought in an over-​priced blank key from Honda Motorcycle and they cut it perfectly for $ 3! Works like a dream. Go here for all your key needs.

Couldn’t agree more with the other comments. Genuine guy who goes out of his way to find that obsolete key and cut it to fit. He smiles too. It matters.

Came here for key cutting and the service was quick and they even guaranteed the keys to fit!

I don’t really expect too much from a key-​cutting business. All I need is for the copies of my keys to work.
The proprietor of this business goes beyond cutting your keys, and provides service with a smile. Standard keys cost $ 3, they are fully guaranteed: the keys have a stamp on them with their name on it, so you don’t even need a receipt. If your key doesn’t work, just bring it back.
I only wish they had slightly longer hours of business. They close at 5:30 on most days.

I bought a high-​security padlock from these
people several years ago and I’m very satisfied
with my purchase.
Finding Abloy locks in Toronto is a challenge and
the $ 60 for this padlock is a great investment for
my apartment building’s locker room.
Most of the other tenants use those inexpensive
$ 3 — 5 locks from convenience stores but I wouldn’t
trust them one bit. My Abloy’s security rating is
such that it can be used in such secure places as
an electrical substation or other high security
environment because the two keys supplied
cannot be copied by any hardware store. Only
an Abloy dealer can do that and one needs to bring
in the original registration card as well.
A visit to the Abloy Canada website will show the
benefits of this type of high-​security lock system.
The staff were very helpful and showed me the
value for money and I don’t regret the purchase.
