A great place to start for strollers. Various price ranges for strollers and I found the associate helpful in determining my needs. When I have called or interacted with someone there, they are knowledgeable without being overly friendly. I find their stroller prices are about $ 20 cheaper than all other advertised places which is nice. My friend purchased her recliner here(needs to be ordered in) but their display is not very large or cribs or chairs as it is a smallish store compared to Lil Niblets.

Bought a stroller here less than a year ago and it started to make a funny noise. That’s okay– I still love the stroller but it needs to be repaired. I called the store to inquire about repairs and I politely asked if they happened to have a loaner stroller or something while it was being repaired(paid over $ 700 for this stroller– sorry I don’t have another one) the lady who answered the phone was extremely extremely rude and made it seemed like I just slapped her. She laughed at my question like I was an idiot. I am so insulted and wished I never bought the stroller here. After I get this repaired under warranty I will NEVEREVEREVERRETURN. My husband will be coming with me for the repair and he is not thrilled at all and will be addressing this rude woman in person. Hopefully I’m in a good mood the day I go in otherwise I’m going to tell her exactly where to go.

My wife and I have shopped at Macklem’s on a few occasions, as it is in the neighbourhood. The store has a decent selection of products, especially strollers. The service, however, is pretty poor. It seems like they don’t know their products very well, they aren’t keen to answer questions, and they are very difficult about returns of bad products. We both like to support local stores, but it seems like Macklem’s doesn’t care much about local customers.

I called the store to see if they have a stroller I want to purchase in stock, a lady who answered the phone was simply rude and unprofessional! She sounded like she’s in her fifties or sixties and gave me an impression that she didn’t have time for me so f*** off! I will spend my money elsewhere bye bye!

I’ve spent a lot of money here over the years and have finally said no more. the owners are very rude and the store is now starting to lack the inventory and selection that they used to. on my latest visit for a booster seat, they only had one style which had received very poor safety ratings, which they knew nothing about. this combined with higher prices… enough said. i’m all for supporting local business but i’ve had enough.

By the way they sell the Philips Avent line here. It’s pretty hard to find this line because it’s made in England. You’re always stuck looking at other lines with plastic bottles(even though they say they’re BPA-free, I’d rather buy glass). Bought a glass baby bottle here, and will be back for the Stokke chair with high chair attachment, as well as the Philips manual breast pump(also made in England).

We went to Macklem’s based on a friend’s recommendation for a great place for strollers. We intended to register there for our stroller but not much else since we didn’t think the selection would be extensive. After receiving attentive and knowledgable service, even on a busy Saturday, we ended up registering for all of our basics. I even checked Babies R Us afterwards to see if I could find better products or prices, but I was delighted to find that Macklem’s had the best products AND the best prices. Matched with the excellent service, I would strongly recommend Macklem’s.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of baby gear despite the small retail space. There’s a reason this place has been around for 30+ years !

My wife agrees wholeheartedly with the other reviewers. She gives Macklem’s 5 stars for excellent customer service and knowledgeable, friendly staff. We bought a Britax B-Agile baby stroller and the Britax B-Safe car seat from Maclem’s after extensive online and in-store research. Prior to buying, my wife dealt with Brandy at Macklem’s who was superb! She answered my wife’s questions about 3 specific strolles we were considering, suggested other options that might fit our lifestyle and our small car and allowed her to test which of the top contenders would fit in the trunk of the car. My wife would highly recommend Macklem’s to any parent-to-be.

If you want knowledge and friendly service that you will not receive at the big box store — come here. They deal in a great selection of moderately to expensive strollers, furniture and all the baby extras you could ever need. They carry all the parts for Medela breast pumps and Uppababy strollers and accessories. The best part about Macklem’s is that they are a family run business. We bought a stroller from here and were given a warranty as well as the knowledge that they repair strollers in house. A great shop — one of the best.

MacKlem’s definitely gets 5 stars! Although the store seems really small, it really does have everything. My instinct is always to go to BabiesRUs for baby gear thinking they have everything, but I’m always disappointed. I’ve now switched to always going to MacKlem’s first and you can’t go wrong. Their speciality is strollers, but they’ve got car seats, cribs, clothes, safety gates, the list goes on. Service is quick and helpful and prices are competitive with other stores. They also do stroller repairs and can do most of the major brands. They fixed our Peg Perego which saved us hundreds of dollars for buying a new one!
