History

Established in 1935.

Manhattan Moving Service was first established in 1935 as Manhattan Movers in Manhattan by the family who moved from Toronto, Ontario to the US during the depression of the 1930’s looking for a better life. Manhattan Moving Service was re-​established in 1993 in Toronto, Ontario as an Ontario Corporation, all Canadian owned and operated by the original family.

The President of Manhattan Moving Service brings with him over 40 years of experience in the moving industry. He worked with his Father who originally owned Manhattan and attended various Universities while helping his Father. He achieved four university degrees while even working nights and holidays for his family. Highly educated and experienced and having been brought up in the moving business are some of the reasons for the success of Manhattan Moving Service as one of Toronto’s foremost moving companies.
