Maple Leaf Medical Clinic

I come from a customer service background so to be impressed by the medical profession says a lot. I’m not going to get into the details as its personal & medical related but here is the general idea. I’m sitting in the ER right now thanks to some very proactive & thoughtful efforts of Rhonda. I called this am with what I thought was something minor. My Dr & my receptionist are not in but she gladly takes my call. She assesses, puts me only hold to check a few things out, then suggests I get to a walk in. She tells me about the one at Loblaws. I go there and am assessed by a Dr who sends me to the ER. On my way to the hospital I stop in to say thanks to Rhonda who I also ask if she can see if TGH Emerg can get my most recent blood work for a proper assessment & diagnosis due to my unique medical history. None of this was her job yet she did it. Didn’t make me feel like she was doing me a favour or this was inconvenient. I’m just wowed. Client service in the medical profession is rare to see like this, I wish it were like this everywhere. And very comforting & welcoming space at Maple Leaf too. I hope I’m still going out dancing for Pride tonight lol.

My family physician, Dr. Tilley, is one of the doctors who work within this clinic.
Located on the 6^th floor of an older downtown building, the exterior is a juxtaposition to the updated offices contained within.
Everyone is an absolute pleasure to deal with… from the receptionists who greet you upon your arrival, to the individual recently hired to administer shots (hysterically funny although she’s obviously a sociopath who likes to cause pain to people), to the friendly and thorough doctors, this place is tops.
One of the advantages of having a physician in this clinic is that should my doctor be away, another physician can step in and see me in a pinch.
What can I say about my doctor??? I’ve been a patient of his for over 15 years and have found him to be approachable, thorough, concerned and the kind of guy you want to have a tequila with. Although professional, he ensures that you feel valued and takes time to discuss things with you… I can’t imagine having another doctor.
This new location is conveniently located near a subway stop and a Starbucks and Tim Hortons. Just don’t tell the doctor that you got cream in your coffee…
