Went with my girl, it’s a female clothing store… so here is a take from a guys point of view. The shop was too expensive for the quality and things they were selling. The service was great as the lady came by twice to check on us. Personally, I think I have seen similar cloths in shops offering for less.

Years ago when Mendocino was only at Yorkdale, Yonge & Eg, Queen St, and Bloor, I used to spend way too much money at this store. With trendy and high quality brands like Teenflo, my business attire was sharp, fashion forward, and a bit sexy. I recently stopped in and was shocked at what I saw. I am clearly not their target market anymore. The quality is really low(and this isn’t bargain line M). The materials were too flimsy and nothing was lined. The edges weren’t nicely tailored like before. The details were all missing. Strings were hanging from unfinished stitching, cuffs were not sewed straight, and patterned clothes were misaligned. Considering they were charging prices higher than GAP, you’d think it’d be better. Sadly it wasn’t the case. The quality was closer to H&M but double the price. I’m not sure who they’re targeting who can afford to burn extra dollars for H&M clothing. Considering Forever21 is coming to the mall shortly, they’re up for more competition. It’s sad because I used to love Mendocino.
